  1. Thanks ya'll. From my googling I thought it was superior court. I went to their website, it didn't say anything about divorce papers. I'll call them. Thanks
  2. Congrats to Mrs. Dis!!!! I have no info on this subject, just wanted you to know I am congratulating your wife.
  3. I have tried to find out via the internet, but I couldn't. What department in Paulding County can I go to get a copy of a divorce decree? Edited to add: My husband wants to get a copy of his divorce from his ex 17 years ago.
  4. Praying for comfort during this time! Just keep the memories!!!!
  5. I went twice today. Once at 9:00 this morning and I got alot. Then back again with my sister and got some things for my niece. I would say there probably isn't much left later on. I can see them being open one more day, maybe. Not official....just my opinion. I got alot of good deals. Some things were over priced. The soup for example. There was still plenty when I went the second time.
  6. I am just hoping my dog does not have to go out in this to do her business....until it's over. LOL
  7. I agree. My Mom lives in Cobb County, not in the city of Marietta and she can hear her siren loud and clear. I am glad she can hear it out her way. I know there were those who are annoyed it woke them up this morning, but on a stormy day I would welcome it. I think I heard somewhere that if the county is in a Tornado Watch and there is a thunderstorm coming, they will sound the siren. So I guess that was the case this morning. If there was a storm, I slept right through it. That isn't like me at all!!
  8. I think the sirens are only in the city limits. I could be wrong. I live in North Paulding about 6 or 7 miles from downtown Dallas and I never hear the sirens.
  9. I will have to ask my husband who you are. I agree with those above to have your son check out several troops. Troop 321 camps once a month. This troop was started about 12 years ago (could have been longer) with 5 boys. 2 out of the 5 made Eagle. Pretty good odds. I don't know how many are in the troop now. I do know 22 are signed up to go on the January camp out. While my husband likes the troop with more boys, it's not about numbers to him. Because the troop is a boys led organization the more boys the better. Being boys led means that the boys are put into office
  10. Hey there! I don't know who you are, but my husband is the Scout Master of Troop 321!!!!! Hey Mr. Dis, Troop 321 is over on the North side of Paulding, but Ron would love to have your son and even you join the troop!!!!
  11. I am so exciting reading all these post. We haven't had our travel trailer out in a year and I am ready to go. It got me to thinking of some more info I could give you. I agree with getting a God Sam Membership. You get discounted rates at campgrounds. It may be only a couple of dollars a night, but they do add up. Also you get savings at the Camping World store. When I got my first trailer, stocking it was fun, but pricey. We used some items from our home, but bought a lot. Items like pots and pans, silverware, bowls, cups, towels, wash cloths, can opener, blankets etc. E
  12. We have had several long camping trips. I guess you could say we were RVing. Trip to South Dakota and back, 3 week trip. We stayed in my husband's slide on pop up camper. It was snug for 3 weeks, but fun. We took a 5 week trip to Maine and back in my first camper. It was a 22 foot one. It was us and 2 dogs and we had a blast. On both trips we would find a city that we would drive to and locate a good camping place. Sometimes we would stay one night, sometimes more. It was awesome. It was like we had a different view from our windows every day. Now that I have a l
  13. Mr. Dis, While searching job openings for a friend of mine I came across a service that the Goodwill does. They have classes on things like resume writing etc. Check them out. I think the closest one that does this is in Cartersville. Also for a temporary job, tell her to check Paulding Voter Registration. My Twinsis and I are working election days at one of the precincts. Since we worked last year we got asked to work during advanced voting. It's only $10.00 an hour and it's long hours, but it's money. PM me if you have any questions.
  14. LOL I only did it because the Thursday I could have retired was test day and I always loved test day. Then that Friday I cleaned out my desk and had a party. LOL
  15. I worked at CCPD as a civilian in several areas for 30 years. I am happy to be retired from there. It used to be a place that people wanted to work at. I worked in IA helping in the hireing process of Fire/PD/911. We would get applicants from so many other departments and the military. We were proud to hire these people. Now the experienced at the County are looking elsewhere. It's not a good place to work at anymore. I will say I was happy to have a job/career with Cobb. I started when I was 19 years old. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I grew up and got
  16. As I sit here and wait for my Santa to wake up so we can open gifts, I will share some of our (me and Twinsister) Christmas memories. One day near Christmas when we lived in Texas we were walkng down our street and the wind got up. We were sure it was caused by Santa's sleigh. When our little sister came along she would always make sure we would go in her room and wake her up before we went to see what Santa got us. We always had Christmas with just our Mom and Dad. I can't remember a Christmas spent with extended family. I love to look at a picture Mama has of us and our fir
  17. I am a horrible speller, but I could even tell that it was spelled wrong. LOL
  18. Yes, he is most likely wrong. LOL
  19. Thanks for the info. That's just stupid in my opinion. Why??? I don't watch Ellen much, but I saw that Paris Jackson was going to be on there so I watched it.
  20. To the parents out there with adult children, don't beat yourself up over your grown son or daughter being hooked on drugs. People are hooked on drugs from all walks of life. You could have done all you can for your child and they might still turn to drugs. The prescription drugs are so easy to get and so easy to get hooked on.
  21. Ann, my husband doesn't like fru fru smells. LOL So I have been switchin my scents out. Yesterday he said what do you have in that smelly thing today? I said Peach. He said that's my favorite. My job is done. LOL
