GT, I'm sorry this happened to you. I've been there with family and it's not fun at all. Just yesterday the family member called to ask if my husband would co-sign a loan for a vehicle for him. Pubby, how old is that map? I ask because my church is at the corner of Dabbs Bridge and Hwy 61N and it looks like an empty lot on the map. Our church has been there over 15 years. Maybe I need to enlarge the picture to see it. As far as the mud bog is concerned. I live off of Dabbs Bridge Road near Hwy 61 and all we hear is a low hum. I never even know it's going on until I hear the hum and then think about what it is.

I called my DIL yesterday morning and asked them to come stay with us and they said no. So I worried about them every time the weather guy mentioned Bartow County. Two died in Spaulding County. Al probably got it wrong.

We were lucky and had no major storms here. My Step Son and DIL who live in Bartow have some trees down on their street. They are safe. That's great news.

I am thankful too that we never got anything more than high wind and rain. I hope other folks in the county did okay too.

Years ago I made a place for me and my doggies under the basement stairs. It's been forever since I have had to use it. I looked at it yesterday with all the spider webs and decided that I would go to my truck that is parked in the basement. I hate spiders. So I put a blanket and pillow in the back seat. I had my bag packed with a water bottle, flash light, keys and a chewey for Star (my dog. My cell phone was in my pocket. Thankfully we never had to go to the basement. My husband always decides to clean out the gutters over the front porch during a lightening storm. Crazy!!

Kara, you should take your phone number out of your post. It isn't a good idea to put your number here on pcom. Just a friendly suggestion. Also if you knew this man had a bad past with animals I am assuming you know about suspicious deaths of animals on his property. Why would you leave an animal there? Have you gone back to check on her? I don't know anything about horses, but a cup of food a day doesn't sound like much. I was by there again yesterday. The horse made it through the storms and is still there.

Maybe I was totally out of the loop, but I found this out yesterday. I have AT&T and our bill keeps going up. My hubby told me I was making too many calls. I went into the AT&T place to check out my bill. It seems that we were on the "old" family talk plan where all calls made to and from AT&T were free, but not from other cell phone companies. So with no additional charge, he changed it to the new plan. This plan makes all mobile to mobile calls free. The only calls that will go against my minutes are to and from land lines. I didn't know this. Maybe this will help y

I was going to be a vendor, but I am waiting on my niece's baby to be born. I get to be in the room. She is a day past her due date. So I'm on Baby Watch and will not be there.
