I actually had a count down clock! It was awsome to see the time tick away SLOWLY. Now that I am retired, the days fly by.
-
Congrats on the retirement. I retired 5 years ago. I don't know how I had time to work. I stayed busy most days and when I don't want to be busy, I'm not. I love it.

Two places to check out for help in finding a job
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to Mrs. Jack Russell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You are very welcome. If I find anything else out that might be of use to folks looking for a job, I'll pass the info on. -
I have been searching jobs all morning for a friend of mine. I found two places that may help those looking for jobs and I thought I would share. These are places that are free. I don't have the links, but I found them via google. Care Ministry at some Catholic churchs. They offer classes on how to find jobs, how to dress, how to do resumes etc. The Goodwill of North Georgia All Career Centers. They offer basically the same things as above. They have a calendar of events on the web page and several locations listed (None in Paulding County, but there is one in Cartersville

Is there a deadline to get the letters to you? Edited to add: I went to the website and it says the deadline is Oct.28th. So I am guessing this is the deadline to get the letters to you. If not can you let me know.

:clapping: Thank you for posting this. I feel bad for the man and his wife about the health situation. I can not feel bad about his complaint. He has the right to complain and even get on the news to do it, but he is wrong. He will never see that he was in the wrong and having it on the news for several days has once again given folks a bad opinion of police officers. Also I think it has made people think he will probably get the ticket reduced and they will try it if they are in a simular situation. I would love just once for someone to get on the news and say "Hey, you know what?

Patty Cakes was a lucky dog to have you as a Mommy!!!! I know she met up with my Bue and Scout at the Rainbow bridge where we will see them one day! See my signature below as to what Billy Graham had to say about dogs in heaven!

I'm glad you do not take the entire bus stop of kids to school on rainy/cold days anymore. With folks so quick to sue, it's not safe for anyone to do this without the parents permission. Sad, but true.

I don't know what it means, but I have seen some pages simular to that. It wasn't good!!! Best of luck to you! -
I'm saying a prayer for you! Almost 8 years ago I witnessed an accident where a16 year old girl was killed. She almost hit me head on, but swerved and went off the road to her right, started fishtailing and hit the truck behind me. I still have nightmares about it. I got to meet her parents and we are friends now. I have been with her for her Dad's funeral and she has been there for me at my Dad's funeral. It was weird how we met. I went by the scene of the accident a couple of days later. It was my normal route to and from work. I saw some people standing there. I stopped an

What to get a 5 year old grandaughter for Christmas?
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to Mrs. Jack Russell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
OH, that would be cool. Is that in the North GA Mountains. I remember hearing about that a year or so ago. I am off to Google it. Thanks. -
What to get a 5 year old grandaughter for Christmas?
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to Mrs. Jack Russell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Where is this? Atlanta? I think she would love this. (Nevermind, I found out it is at North Point Mall.) LR: She is a girly girl who loves to wear her old cowboy boots with everything including dresses. She is into anything her brother and sister are doing because she is convinced she is as old as they are. LOL Other than that I can't think of anything she is really interested in. I need to think on this and ask her mother. While doing some research of things to do in Atlanta, I found a bunch. I just have to get with my husband to see what he thinks. She does love ho -

I always assume someone needs a nap....sometimes the child and sometimes the parent. NC, you got me to thinking with this thread. I will be more focused in the future because it might just save a child's life one day.

This year it's gonna be simple for the 9 year old and 7 year old, but not so much for the 5 year old. 9 Year old Grandaughter - I have been taking her to Texas for the past two years for a family reunion. This year we are flying so I am going to give her some Texas item (cowgirl etc) with a ticket to fly to Texas. 7 Year old Granson wants to be a pilot when he grows up. I have a friend who flys and will take him for an hour plane ride. He is gonna love this. So we are going to give him a toy airplane or a airplane model kit with a coupon for the flight. So now we are

I don't know how fast the man was driving, but if he had just driven 10 miles over the speed limit he would have gotten to the hospital faster. Just saying. I also hope that my husband would have just called for an ambulance. Yeah, it cost money, but if she was that sick they could have been taking care of her while enroute to the hosptial. Anyway, I'm tired of hearing about it on the news. JMHO

Congrats of the retirement. I have been retired from Cobb County for 5 years. I stay so busy, I don't know how I ever had time to work. Did you work at Southern Bell in 1974. My twin sister and I were 411 operators from June until December. We got laid off. We worked at the Marietta office just off the square. -
We had grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. It was yummy. My husband had desert of left over wings from Beef O Brady's. LOL

Chynna Phillips had a bad night. I saw her dance and it was okay. I didn't even notice she messed up until the judges started talking about it. Her dances in the past weeks alone should have been enough to keep her. So I guess she just didn't have the following that the other's have. I think that is why the girl left last week. I don't even remember her name. LOL As far as Nancy, Carson and Chaz. They can't dance. They are entertaining, I guess, but they can't dance. They have gotten better over the weeks, but still not up to the level where Chynna was on week one. I

What's Wrong With A Doctor Who Tells Us The Truth?
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My Primary Care doctor is awesome. She actually takes time to listen to me. I didn't like her at first. The original primary care doctor was great, but he retired. I wasn't so loyal to him because I became his patient about a year before he retired. When he left the practice I was given the option of this new lady doctor or going to the other man in the practice. It was quicker and easier to see the new lady doctor because her appointments were easier to get. At first I was so upset that I would see people in the waiting room for the other doctor coming and going while I was still waiti
