  1. I actually work in Kennesaw and pickup at the warehouse. I like going to the warehouse because there are always extra's and you never know what they'll have. I've always been pleased with the quaility and quantity of items we get. If you work in Kennesaw and can pick it up at the warehouse you'll save a few $$. Which I promptly spend on extras
  2. I just started getting the Birchbox too! I've only gotten 1 box so far and was pleased with my goodies. My daughter does it also. Our samples are based on the profile you fill out so we don't get the same stuff. She got the Blinc in her box and it was really weird when you took it off buy she loved it. I'm already excited for my next one! For $10 it's a fun little treat and you get a chance to try some products you might never have looked at.
  3. Same here. Either the strings break or the bag tears at the seam. I've been using the same bags for over a year and then the last month or so--they've been bad.
  4. I'm reading Jim Butcher's 'White Night', Bentley Little's 'The Collection 1', and Douglas Preston and Lee Child's 'The Cabinet of Curiosities' . I just finished Elizabeth Kostova's 'The Historian'...FANTASTIC . I love these guys! and Agent Pendergast.
  5. Is $15 too much to pay for a haunted monkey? Love it!
  6. I knew they owned Vudu, but had heard they were going to sell it. We use it ocasionally thru our Viera Cast Bluray player. They sometimes have movies before Netflix or even pay per view. Plus you have an option on the pricing based on the streaming quaility (HD etc)
  7. Russell Brand wrote the best I've seen regarding this. Normally He wouldn't be my go to for anything remoteley serious but he knew here and knows addiction. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jul/24/russell-brand-amy-winehouse-woman "Now Amy Winehouse is dead, like many others whose unnecessary deaths have been retrospectively romanticised, at 27 years old. Whether this tragedy was preventable or not is now irrelevant. It is not preventable today. We have lost a beautiful and talented woman to this disease. Not all addicts have Amy's incredible talent. Or Kurt's or Jimi's or Jan
  8. I think I have blossom drop again this year. When I go check the garden (raised beds with hay mulch) I'm finding more and more blossoms that the stems have just dried up and then they fall off. It's the heat I guess. I did read last year that if the temp stays to high at night it's murder on tomatoes. I have a lot of almost ripe and nice sized green fruit I'm hoping it cools off a bit so I get more new ones.
  9. Abby Wambaugh is a Beast!! And I'm loving that goal came in the extra injury time that the Brasil player caused with that lame "injury" That's the Karma train entering the station.
  10. For real, She's the poster girl for malnutrition.
  11. I should loan out my beagle/basset. lol we must not play fetch enough with her because she will catch them and walk around with them in her mouth, let them go chase them again carry them around again. This year it's been ground hogs--they keep getting into our fence. And I keep finding their heads on my deck.
  12. I just caught a smidge of the report. Hubby was watching and they interviewed James Kelly and apparently he put them on his business trucks and has noticed a big difference. I'd love to learn more about it.
  13. A new one is out in August..squee! They are authors that are on my still buy in hardback list. I've gone to the dark side (Kindle) but there are some books that I just want the Book.
  14. Pendergast is my book boyfriend.
  15. She is awesome! I love to see what she's up to every day on her blog. And Dang it one of these days I'm going to win something on her giveaways I'm really excited that she's getting a show on food network. If you have time read her "romance" novel--From High heels to Tractor wheels aroub her and Marlboro man. So funny.
  16. http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/12/spicy-lemon-garlic-shrimp/ Spicy Lemon Garlic Shrimp, way tasty. I've put the same mixture on tilapia and baked it in the oven and the family was near tears when it was all gone. Any firm white fish would work. I served it with angel hair pasta. I've made a ton of Ree's recipes and she's never let me down
  17. We've been. I have to agree with Palm Trees. I wouldn't make a special trip. We went on the way to or back from somewhere. If they had a decent gift shop that might be able to break even.
  18. I found it giggly that the Elizabeth just stood there during God Save the Queen. Guess you can't sing it about yourself. I did notice that Prince Philip was singing it.
  19. We use the Old Elpaso seasoning (the lower sodium version) We tried the Ortega brand once with it was on sale--Gagatrocious.
  20. Congrats to all the former smokers!!! I quit 3 years ago. The final straw for me was vanity. There was a woman in my office that had smoked for years and tanned like crazy, and she looked 80 years old. Come to find out she was only in her 50's. I just kept thinking about how awful her skin looked and how I didn't want to look like that when I was older. All that nasty smoke does a number on your skin.
  21. We bought a foreclosure 8 years ago. The real estate agent we dealt with submitted our bid and it was easy peasy. I have heard that currently easy peasy does NOT describe the process. My sister has been trying to buy the house 2 doors down from us and it's been a nightmare. She's finally just given up. The listing agent is a bear to work with. She offered within $8,000 of the asking price and was turned down---a month later after tons of traffic the house is still not under contract. Go figure. I don't think old girl is going to get what she's wanting for the house. People
  22. Just did my daughters on the H&R block free 1040EZ. Didn't ask for our socials and she's claimed as a dependent.
