My dad got car jacked on Saturday in Warrendale. Crazy old coot fought back and they didn't get his truck. (and yes I read him the riot act-getting shot or stroking out are not worth a vehicle) He was just going into that area to bring my grandmother her meds. She's lived there 60+ years and the family has been fighting to get her to move. This was the last straw.

We went to Folklore the opening weekend and thought it was fab. Took a bunch on 12 y/o boys and it may have been too much for them. A couple looked a little shell shocked at the end. lol I thought it was very well done and professional.

Don't get too excited about Uverse yet. We had them out on Saturday and we're just a few feet too far from the VRAD thingy. Really sucks, and we're off Dallas Hwy not in the boonies. Guy down the street has it but they said the signal wouldn't be strong enough to get get service at my house.

Our GM was talking about this the other day at work. (medical supply distribution so this could affect us) Sounds like a sweet deal for the hospitals. We (taxpayers) fund upgrades for trauma center for the hospitals. They get the increased exposure and credit for having the unit and they don't have to pay for it.

I'm feeling a little "3 Faces of Eve" here. Everyone was po'd last time because specific projects were listed and the money had to be spent on them, now we're po'd that it's too vague? I'm still in the pondering stage on this vote.

Just took 4 12 y/o boys to Folklore in Dallas and it was awesome! Very well done and professional. I mentioned they needed to pickup a commerce membership on Pcom, Two of the guys/owners are local boys (class of '88)

Code enforcement of some kind came thru our sub a couple weeks ago and left some pretty orange stickers on the street parkers I need to figure out who it was and have them come back by, Cute little Lexus almost got smacked in the rear end the other day. Parked on the road in a blind curve on a hill. Because of this I couldn't see the car coming up the hill while I was trying to go down it. So if anyone has out of state company with a personalized tag sitting on the street when their bleeping driveway is empty...you may want to get that moved.

Just had this same conversation with some friends at work. Black women generally don't "do" the sun. They don't end up with as much sun damage and their skin looks great because of it.

LOVE These books! One of the few authors I buy in hard back. Koontz--Odd Thomas series. I've read the JR Ward series they're pretty good too.

Have you spoken to her about possibly being depressed? Depression can cause a lot of the same issues. Just a thought.

I think they're crazy--I'd never do it, but they take care of their family and don't rely on the govt to do it for them. Plenty of "welfare moms" with 10 kids. BUT as the mom of a preemie, I decided not to have anymore children because I didn't want to risk putting another child through the pain and trauma my son went through. No way no how. Just the thought of that freaks me out. (docs never could say for sure what caused my placental abruption)

For me the whole implant trend has worked out nicely. I no longer get stared at 20 years ago my size chest got plenty of attention, now so many women have implants it's not a big deal anymore. My mom has implants, she went from an A cup to a DD. I tried to warn her. Now she really regrets going that big. Big boobs tend to make you look bigger all over unless you wear really tight clothes. One of my sisters has them too--hers are gorgeous. She just went to a smallish C and you would never know her's aren't natural. Her Doctor did a fabulous job.
