Hey, me too! I saw Dr. Burrell at Northside, just last week. Also found out that Dr. Feuer has just left the practice.

Lyric wise, it's awful...but it just makes me smile every time I hear it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpVoJCvTdVA

I heard a reporter make a crack on one of the morning news shows that perhaps Jesus was helping St. Peter trying to explain to Kim Jong Il why he wasn't getting through the Pearly Gates.

Yay!!!!! What a great Christmas present! Tell her thanks for her service and I hope y'all have a great Christmas! Welcome home! -
What the previous poster said. If you just want something small and portable for web browsing, email, and use as an ereader, definitely tablet. I have both and find myself using the tablet more than the netbook. I use the netbook for all my MS Office tasks (word processing, spreadsheets, etc), family research, etc.

Madame Alexanders are usually either 8 or 10 inches tall and are usually categorized into different types of collections. The First Ladies Collection, as the previous poster mentioned, is one such collection. Other popular collections by the manufacturer are Gone With The Wind and The Wizard of Oz ( the dolls are dressed as characters from the movies), Storyland Collection (ie: Pinochio, Red Riding Hood, etc), The International Collection (dolls dressed in costumes representative of their respective country or nationality. (ie: kilts and bagpipes, wooden shoes, kimono, sari, etc). I

I had my land line dropped for two reasons: annoying sales calls even though we were on the DNCL and election robo calls which were the absolute worst. I came home one night during an election cycle and there were 30 calls from different candidates asking to have my support. Called AT&T that night and dropped the line. The only people that have my cell are the need to know: family, doctors, dentist, work and close friends. If an incoming call is not in my contact list, I don't answer. Problem solved.

Ours was a small wedding. Roughly 30 guests. We found a retired military chaplain in the yellow pages. He came to our home in Dallas, performed a non religious ceremony; charged $25.

My husband had this happen to him one time. The pump on the other side became empty while he was waiting. So he drove around, pulled up next to it, but instead of using that pump, he reached around and grabbed the pump "Miss I Have To Take My Important Call" should have been using, put in the gas tank. She hopped out of her car then...hopping mad...and started screaming at him. He calmly whipped out his phone and asked her if she could wait a minute, he had a call he needed to make.

We had a neighbor that did this with us. Unbeknownst to us at the time, he played Santa every year at his company's Christmas party. When he got home, he'd visit the houses on our end of the street, bring us all candy canes, and ask us what we wanted for Christmas. We were always amazed that he knew our names, our parents names, where we went to school, and knew what kind of scrapes we'd gotten into, etc. We also thought it was kind of neat that Santa smelled like cigarettes and beer! -

Three all/time favorites: 1. Picadoo set. It came with these metal molds and you poured this concoction called Plastigoop into it. You then set the mold into this contraption that looked like a miniature hot plate. When the goop firmed up, you took a pair of tongs and placed it in a pan of cold water. When the mold cooled off, you peeled the plastic from it and you could stick it to notebooks, mirrors, etc. This was in late 60's....definitely not considered child safe today! 2. My first "grown up" bike. It had a light (not that my parents ever let me ride it at night!), pret -

I'm not sure what part of town you're in, but there if you want to try Computer Rescue's advice, there is a mom/pop computer repair shop in Cobb on Acworth Due West called That Computer Chick. It's in a shopping center sort of "catty corner" to Due West Elementary (intersection of Kennesaw Due West and Acworth Due West). I've never done business with them, but I just figured they might at least have a cord you can borrow just to see if it even works.

Thanks! Glad you're doing well, too! Have fun baking with granddaughter. My grandmother's kitchen was so small, so my cousins and I couldn't help too much, because we were all getting in the way of each other. So she would put us to work at the kitchen table cracking nuts, grating coconut, slicing fruit, etc. while she did the main work of measuring, mixing, rolling, and keeping an eye on the oven and the time. And while ALL of this was going on, she'd tell us stories about when she was a girl, mischief our parents got into as children, a few off color stories that she would always

It was at this time last year that I found out I had endometrial cancer. While everyone else was shopping, partying, etc., I was undergoing tests, transfusions, ultrasounds, and scans. I had a complete hysterectomy in January....during the ice storm. I spent the remainder of the winter, spring, and summer undergoing chemo and radiation. My oncologist says my prognosis is excellent. I've never felt as great as I feel now....it's funny how a jolt like that puts all things in perspective. So today, to celebrate, I took myself to Kohls and bought myself a fancy schmancy pair of earr

I thought the same thing....especially after this weekend hearing about the fights over $2 waffle irons, $4 coffee makers, people acting like animals in general by hurting other people come hell or high water just to grab some cheap toy or game that their kid will play with all of 5 minutes on Christmas Day, or give some cheap knickknack to give to a relative that probably already has a cabinet full of cheap knickknacks they dont want now.

Here's the link from amazon with the kindle info: Library info for kindles Checking out library ebooks for kindles was just implemented late September, so it's relatively new. I think nooks have had the capability from day one. Not sure about the other readers. I have an older model kindle (2nd generation). According to the link above, you need an active wifi connection to download to a kindle. My kindle has a 3G only connection. So in order to get the info onto my kindle, I have to download it to a device with the kindle app software loaded (ie: a computer), then load the boo

I was so excited when Amazon.com finally announced that kindles would now have the capability to check out library books. (Nooks have had this capability for some time now). That excitement was short-lived when I found out that due to state cutbacks, The Georgia Download Destination (the portal used by the members of the PINES library networks to download e-books) is not accepting new members. The West Georgia Regional Library (which serves Paulding County) is currently NOT a member of Georgia Dowload Destination. Translation: West Georgia Regional Library card holders cannot check o

Actually, give my Mayberry to Gipper Girl....she's expecting and needs Mayberries for two!

I'll trade you some brand new bullets I picked up during my Black Friday haul for a Mayberry!

Just returned from hell.....aka the aftermath of Black Friday at Walmart. I arrive at 4:30. My mission? A set of tires at the bargain basement price of $74 each. Tire dept doesn't open until 8. No problem, because that I was there for tires only. So I walked around the store and it was relatively quiet....although I was curious as to why there were two officers stationed in the paint department and I noticed 2 or 3 others while strolling the store. So....I picked up a chair from housewares, walked over to the tire department, sat in the chair and played sudoku on my iPad while

I rode by the folks camped out at BB. Tents, cars backed up to the tents, kids out playing, people sitting in camp chairs either talking or reading. Maybe a dozen or so tents...about 20 or so people total. Not my thing cuz it was too cold last night, but if that's how they want to spend the holiday it doesn't bother me at all. I prefer to do my shopping online. And....because of the fact that there is an obvious market of people that want to shop earlier COMBINED with the fact that more people like me prefer to do online shopping, the brick and mortar stores pretty much have to open e
