  1. LPPT, the beginning of many more :o :o Mine got his mowhawk when he was about 12. (It only lasted a couple of weeks, thank goodness) Now the facial hair, that is another issue altogether.
  2. I was looking for a recipe for squash casserole that I absolutely love. Finally after wrestling with a gazillion cook books I found it. It was a cook book given to customers of the First National Bank of Paulding County. Many of the names of the people that submitted recipes are folks that have been around here for years. I still use many, many of the recipes from that cook book. Does anyone else still have theirs???

  5. That was a looooonnnnnggggg time ago!! LOL The Graduate is now married and has GRADUATED law school!! The first one I met was Shawna, then I went to help out a JohnnyJ's and there musta been a thousand Pcomers.
  6. I agree with Lowrider, I've heard the surgery is worse than the condition. Everyone I know that has had it feels worse than they did before. I have one but have learned what to eat and how much tums really cost.
  7. That made me chuckle. No I didn't go last night, spent the afternoon with my mom at the oncologist. Long, stressful day.
  8. Ours didn't go out but it sure flashed and flickered a bunch. Hope it didn't take out the phones again.
  9. This is exactly what I was talking about the other day Whitey. I don't like this ugly stuff. And I think it's awful Chris cannot come here to defend himself, although I do believe he is responsible for that himself. I think the article clearly states it is the opinion of the author, not endorsed by anyone. It's no different than someone coming on here a posting crap about other people running for office. Is any of what he said actual lies?? If so, sounds like a court argument, not a Pcom one. I glanced over the article, I didn't really read it because I know it is an opinion.
  10. Here ya go. I think it was post #172 http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/245256-lets-see-how-the-election-is-looking/page__st__160__p__3178031entry3178031
  11. When you get the PM can you let me in on it, too?? I'm staying confused here.
  12. We always called it a Rose of Sharon as well. They bloom for one day and the flower falls off. We have several. And yes the Rose of Sharon is in the hibiscus family as is okra. If you ever looked at the bloom on the okra plant you can see the resemblance.
  13. It spit a little rain here. Lots of thunder and wind, no Holy Water.
  14. Let's just hope they do a good business. Without delivery I don't see how it would survive. I hope it's yummy!!!!
  15. Wow!!! This is what I was hoping for instead of Popeyes!! The Bojangles in Rockmart is the best. Tell your cousin he's doing a great job. Y'all will be soooooooooo happy if he does this. My grandson loves, loves, loves the fried sweet potato pie. They serve biscuits all day!! Woooooooo Hooooooooo. :yahoo: :yahoo:
  16. Why the heck are posts disappearing in this thread?? I know at least two went "Poof"!!! What the heck, is someone selectively deleting posts?? Where's the post quoted by Bella from Beach Bum?? I'm so confused.
  17. Well not really "free" you still have to pay the light power electric bill to run the pump. (Just had to put that in there for CarolineElizabeth and Lady Raider )
  18. You can take it to the Extension Office and they will send it to UGA to be tested. Not sure on the cost, but I don't think it's much. We have a well that has a lot of manganese in it, stained everything, but was and still is very safe to drink. Is it a shallow or bored well???
  19. Thanks, I just googled it and put up the first link I found. It did have some good info even it did not give the credit for the origin of the celebration. Thanks for the better link.
  20. When I was growing up we always talked about Flag Day during the last week of school. It was a bit of history and a reminder of the importance of our flag. Has anyone heard anything from MSM about this??? Our Cub Scout Pack is retiring a flag tonight at our meeting. For your info: Flag Day link
  21. Thanks I knew there was one. Not sure who he is, but I will be familiar in the next week or so.
  22. Listen to everyone about the water thingy. A bottle of water there is very, very expensive $4-$5 range. Frozen is great because it will melt quickly, the water from the fountains is not cold!! LOL Sunscreen, sunglasses, water and lots of rest should make it the best ever!! If you are staying at one of the properties, you can take the shuttle busses everywhere.
