  1. I didn't get to see them, I was afraid you'd get nervous about some crazy woman in an SUV peeking in on you. I didn't want you to have me hauled off to jail. Your yard is incredibly beautiful as well, there was so much to take in.
  2. Hey Whitey, I was in the 'hood last week. Had to drive by and get a peek. It looks wonderful!! That corn is growing!! Your garden is always so beautiful.
  3. OK, so I didn't spend week after week trying to "figure out" the show. I just took each episode for what it was perhaps that's why I wasn't too disappointed with the ending. I've been follow this blog for a couple of years. She answers some questions for me and puts a better light on the emotional side of Lost.
  4. I think they were on the island, I think all that happened. Each time another one dies (well, realized they have died), they have their reunion. Remember Christian said they were the most important part of Jack's life.
  5. Not disappointed, sad. Jack died!! Everyone died............the reunion was amazing!!
  6. Roast pork, sauerkraut and dumplings.
  7. Yep, I thought for sure they'd have someone in custody by now. Especially since he left on foot. Scary times around here.
  8. So they haven't caught anyone yet??
  9. I truly believe private school is the answer, but it's unaffordable for Mom and Dad right now. I think it's horrible there aren't better options in public school.
  10. Sooooo what word are we on???
  11. OMG he's the same way. Wine, beer or Margaritas????
  12. I guess normal would be a good description, he's 7 and will be 8 in August. Perhaps they need to get together sometime.
  13. Coffee tomorrow, 5/20 9:30 at Audrys.
  14. The main problem we are facing is that he is not a "bad" kid but I know he sometimes feels like he is. The behavior is unacceptable but the kid is great. I remember going through this with my youngest, he would say, "But that's who I am, If you don't like the behavior, you don't like me". Fortunately he out grew most of it but I still think there are some lingering doubts regarding acceptance.
  15. My grandson is the most loving, caring child you'd ever want to meet but he has problems staying focused because he "gets" it in school. He tests well and has never received below a B as a grade. Needless to say he easily distracts other students that are working when he is "finished". Struggling with the "bad behavior" vs the good kid. How do you separate the two?? What have you found works that allows kids to maintain a high morale while punishing the behavior.
  16. Get out of my head, change can always be made into a positive. Embrace change and it can be wonderful. I guess it depends on whether your glass is 1/2 full or 1/2 empty.
  17. That's the beauty of the 1st amendment, you can say anything you want to. You must also keep in mind your boss doesn't have to keep you employed and they certainly have the say in who volunteers. Be careful what you say, it can have serious consequences. A team is a great thing, it is totally satisfying to achieve goals with a group of like minded people. It's a little difficult to achieve those goals when one person insists theirs is the "best" way to handle it. I love this quote by Andrew Carnegie "Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results
