I completely understand. It's not any more than we have already been paying but most people don't understand, they only look at it as more money. The parks we have are wonderful, but they won't help the people that are losing their homes. The comment about public safety was not too bright.

Nope, someone's coming out today. We have county water too so we're OK, the garden isn't, but we are.

With the way things are, if SPLOST gets voted down, it will probably be soley on the Parks and Rec issue.

I cannot vote for Todd Pownall, I don't live in his district but I can tell you he is an honorable, dedicated and committed person. I have known his wife since she was a teenager, worked with Todd a little when his son was in marching band at PCHS. He was one of the first "freshman" parents to step up to help where ever needed. He cares about his community, he cares about the people (especially the kids) and he wants to make a difference. He is kind, caring and honest. I wish I could vote for him.

Tahoe, they need to eliminate the Parks and Rec stuff. Redo the budget to elimate Parks and Rec, sorry I can't vote for "Park" improvements.......... Do we have any idea where the Wellstar Hospital site is going??

I'm sorry we don't need trails and land for Parks and Rec. There are many, many more important things SPLOST should be used for.

When I was little mom made the best coconut cakes you ever tasted, I loved coconut. One day I discovered the big bag of coconut she used, it was in the freezer. I couldn't resist one little bite, then two, then three before I realized it, 1/4 of the bag had been devoured..............whoops now Mom is going to be really mad. I just couldn't put it back, she'd know someone had gotten in to it. So to hide the evidence, I ate the entire 2 lb bag..............I have never eaten coconut since, in fact I can tell when it is added to most all baked/cooked products with one bite.

A&J, they aren't. This is info collected from the Census bureau. The change reflects growth rate from 2000 to 2010. The last couple of years have not been too good. This information is misleading.

I know there are wonderful, fun loving people here. That's what originally brought me here, the great neighbors and friends I like to chat with, spar with and disagree with from time to time. Been here quite a while myself, left a while, came back............most of you know the drill. Let's liven up the place a little. I think Southern Scarlet is working on some new decorations and framed prints. I think we can talk Sew it Seams to make some new curtains and surely we can find someone to wash the windows. So why are we here???
