  1. I know they have received many, many applications for exhibitors. I think the deadline was August 1. Here is the website address Paulding Festivals you can email them and see if there are any openings or there have been any cancellations. Keep in mind, everything must be hand made. You can buy stuff and embelish it with your own artistry but you cannot buy stuff to sell as is.
  2. Jack Reacher posted this the other day. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/250253-schedule-for-paulding-meadows/page__fromsearch__1
  3. Ok, based on what is happening in Washington and what has happened in the past in Paulding County we do not need a commission full of "buddies". We need to keep balance by voting for folks that will not go with the flow. That's what happened with the past commissioners. We need checks and balances. I don't think we need Pownall and Barnett along with Austin. I believe both candidates running in my post are capable and since I can only vote in one post, I will be voting against the "group".
  4. I think it's going to be more like a light show than a storm. BTW, it's been raining hard in Yorkville for about 30 minutes, we already have an inch of rain. :yahoo: :yahoo:
  5. Todd knows how to walk the walk and talk the talk. He tells it straight, doesn't beat around the bush. Very upstanding and honest, has more integrity than most. I'm just not sure how he fits in to this political arena, he's much to nice.
  6. Good for Glock and good for Smyrna, should create a few more jobs. Wonder when we're going to get some more industry in Paulding?? We certainly need it.
  7. But you can. He doesn't have to go with you. It will help you make the right decisions, not just emotional ones. It's not going to be easy for either one of you. Get the help you need and go from there.
  8. I don't know if you need an attorney or a counselor. 36 years is a very long time, perhaps a long extended vacation away from each other might help.
  9. Carrollton would probably be the fastest.
  10. Praying for this young man and his family. Prayers do work.
  11. Talk about late night staple...............White Castle was the bomb when I was growing up. Cheap burgers, open 24 hours and I didn't get heart burn then. Krystal is close but just not exactly the same.
  12. I was supposed to stand up for my cousin's wedding, my husband was the best man and I was to be the Matron of Honor. We found out our daughter was due to be born the very day of the wedding. I apologized and stepped out for fear I wouldn't be able to make it, my husband stayed in the wedding party as best man. Wellllll, the day before the wedding we were at the hospital welcoming our baby girl into the world. She was born at 11:47 PM, he didn't get home from the hospital until 4 or 5 that morning and still had to be at the wedding. I'm just glad I bowed out, it would have been a mess for
  13. Farm Rich used to sell a breaded vegetable stick. It was like the cheese sticks but had shredded carrots, green beans and corn in it. It was so yummy and much better for the kiddos than french fries.
  14. With all the crap that comes out close to the actual election, I think I'll wait. But thanks for the info.
  15. We got a little shower about 5:00 yesterday, registered 1/8" on the rain gauge. While we need lots more (it has only rained twice in the last month), we'll take what we can get.
  16. Thanks for sharing. Amazing where we were then and what we have become.
  17. Sara Babb pool is free today at the summer fest. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/250224-first-annual-city-of-dallas-summerfest/page__pid__3221598__st__0entry3221598
  18. So sorry SS, pets are so much a part of the family, it's like losing one of your kids. Riley was a great companion for many years, he can see again, play again and is so much better than in the last few months. You're right, he'll be waiting for you. {{{hugs}}}
  19. Well, it depends on what kind of food you want. I'm pretty sure Las Palmas has a private room, Audry's does but not sure on the hours. Ryans has two rooms that seat approximately 50 people each, it's free and everyone just pays as they come in. O'Charley's has several separate areas and Tequilas in Hiram has a separate dining room. So does Folks. Most are free, you just need to let them know about how many people and when you're going to be there. Sometimes they won't do a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night.
  20. I know, I love, love, love the entertainment................and the food.
  21. Prayers going up. God bless you and your family.
