I think the "key" is don't just threaten, follow through. If you say no TV it means no TV. If you say stay in your room, make a time limit..15 minutes, 30 minutes, one hour. What ever it is, do it. Doing what you say teaches them that there are limits to unacceptable behavior. The charts only work if you keep up with them. You cannot forget, even one day!! Some kids need more "structure" than others, the charts work to accomplish that. My kids (now grown) thought I was the most terrible thing to ever have walked the earth, until they reached about 25 (well the baby is only 23

We just switched to Systems by Crane. We needed cameras at work, our old company sold us crappy stuff........anyway they are great, monitoring is cheaper if you pay quarterly instead of monthly. They are great and some of the installers live over by Lost Mountain, brothers and they are sooooooooo good at what they do. Here's their website I can actually view the cameras at work here at home.

Works great with boys. You're so smart LPPT. Charts with lists work great. Stars for good behavior, nothing for bad. At the end of the week add up the stars, when he gets "so many" -special treat. Somehow paying attention to that bad behavior just seems to reinforce it. Structure and visual aids work wonders. Now if I could only get my daughter to use them. When she does they work great, Mom just has to remember to keep up with it.

It's also about the big deal to get SPLOST passed. Go ahead and build those new parks!! We were told, pass SPLOST, pass SPLOST or your taxes will go up. SPLOST passes so what did they do, raise the millage rate anyway. I seriously doubt the next SPLOST will pass, regarless of what it's for. We were lied to, again!!!!! And yep, it was politically timed. Now the new guys can say, it wasn't me!!!!!
