Here's something you don't really hear anymore.
Stonewall replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The modern term being used today to show gratitude is "presh ate it". -
I heard a quote recently but I apologize for not committing it to memory or exactly who the speaker was. I do know it was spoken during the Detroit riots in the 60's or 70's by a famous civil rights figure that I believe to be either Jesse Jackson or Ralph David Abernathy. "What the Hell does rioting or looting have to do with civil rights." I fully concur sir.

Tony Stewart involved in fatal incident Saturday
Stonewall replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Terrible tragedy but absolutely an accident. These confrontations happen every weekend at tracks all over the country. Stewart slipped up the track Ward was on the outside and ran out of track, minor contact and into the wall. Ward got pissed and frankly came way too far down the track to prove a point. The 41 car (I believe) barely missed the guy Stewart probably did not see him because of the 41 and poor lighting. Stewart did not gun it and get sideways the engine rev is after he made contact with the guy and the body causes the rear end of the car to swerve. Horrible to look at but really a -
O.K. I am not a criminal investigator but I used to watch Columbo and he was the best. I believe this was a botched abduction/sexual assault. The violence of the attack does not surprise me seeing that rape/sexual assault is a crime of power and control as much or more than a sexual desire. The scariest aspect of this particular case is the fact that it was almost certainly pre-planned and not totally random. I would go as far as speculating it could have been targeting this very victim who I think used this area frequently and possibly near the same time of day. If my amateur sleuth instincts

OK it has been established that I am an ignorant southerner. Now that that is out of the way. It would take the Ebola virus a million years to mutate to the point it could walk, swim, fly, dance, drive, wash, hitch hike across the Atlantic. So lets buy it a private jet and give it a ride. Thank you government/CDC/elitist for speeding it up. Did the Yucatan white man's burden teach you nothing.

How do you feel about the recent incident on the trail
Stonewall replied to 1novella's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I will start by saying I do not blame the victim by any means. This is the work of a predator and if he is not caught he will strike again. However a woman walking alone in a secluded area is not that smart of a thing to do. We all want to live in the "Mayberry" world of our perceived past where everyone is nice and everyone is your neighbor. Unfortunately that is not the world of today. If you are going to use the Comet Trail do not go alone, carry a cell phone, pack a weapon (preferably one made famous by Sam Colt but at least pepper spray)and carry an audible alarm such as a loud whistle. I am very serious when I say this. Technology is dumbing us down. While we have access to unlimited information 24/7 it makes us rely on these devices too much. I truly believe we (we being man kind in general) are losing some form of cognitive reasoning associated with the instant gratification and ease of obtaining information. Couple this with the narcissistic attitude of people today and you have the formula for a self-centered moron of which I see many examples everyday.

Beautiful story, very happy for the family, truly an unconditional family love story that really makes me feel like their is hope. If only we had a local multi dealership, former developer, real estate rich, long time resident that made millions off this county and truly loves us and needs us to donate something like this it would be even more special. But alas I guess no such individual exists in this county, even in Hiram.

The family of murder victims put it in perspective.
Stonewall replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This POS was unconscious when he was "gasping for air" so how did he suffer? Apparently he showed no remorse and even mocked the victims family according to news sources. The only suffering involved is that of the victims and the taxpayers for having to keep this POS alive for 25 years. I am not God nor do I want to play God but I could end the life of this CONVICTED murderer with one shot then sit down beside his dead body and eat a meal without one bit of remorse or indigestion. The death penalty is not as effective a determent as it could be because we are to slow to prosecute and carry out -
As a matter of total happenstance I met Johnny Winter at Hartsfield airport around 1981-82. I was working there and saw him walking down Concourse C I believe. He had just came up the escalator from the tram. He had a guitar case, blue jean vest with no shirt, cowboy boots, jeans, smoking a cigarette, mirrored sun glasses and a straw cowboy hat. There were not many albino tatted out white blues men around at the time so I knew immediately who he was. I was a young punk then but he was very nice to me when I spoke to him even though it was a 30 second conversation. I can still picture him in my

Father who left child in hot car charged with murder
Stonewall replied to NinaBritt's topic in RECENT TOPICS
At the very best this guy is a total dumbass. At worst he is a narcissistic sociopath and should be dealt with using extreme prejudice. If the second case proves to be true hang this sob in front of the whining ass media. If she is involved make it a double hanging. I will supply the rope, venue and tree. -
Southwest Paulding near Union community not far from Rose's store.

My wife just got home after sitting on Mulberry Rock Road near Billy Bullock Road for about 45 minutes. They air lifted someone out. She said two cars one looked like a black Dodge Stealth and the other possible a Grand Am style car. Appeared to be a head on collision. Wreck cleared up now. That's all I know.

I am not having a midget discussion at this time.
Stonewall replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Now this is politically incorrect. "I can't so much as take a drink of water around antique furniture or a midget. I'm not saying its right I'm just saying that's how it is." - Doyle Hargraves -
CRIME Local Man Arrested for Aggravated Child Molestation
Stonewall replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
OK call me a conservative, crazy, violent, heartless, prejudice, redneck, ass hat or worst of all to the elitist a born and bred southerner I don't care. I could bust a cap in this freak and sit down beside his cold body and eat my lunch without a second thought. JMO. -
The Triple Crown is often called the hardest title in all sports to win. Harder than back to back Super Bowls, World Series, Stanley Cups, World Cups or NBA championships. This is part of what makes it so special and attention grabbing. Three races, three tracks, three distances against three changing sets of opponents (some brought in for one race only) in five weeks. These are living animals not machines. They get injured, sick, tired and sometimes just plain don't have a good day just like us. CC had a bad post position, got stuck on the rail behind traffic and could not get open track to m

I will never vote yes for any tax no matter what it is ear marked for. I pay a ridiculous amount of property tax for schools now. I have no children or grandchildren enrolled in Paulding but I get screwed every way I turn because all the politicians have to say is "think about the children" and the sheep will flock out and vote for anything without a second thought. Privatize let the parents pay for the level of education, extra curricular activities they prefer for their own child don't force it on me. You want business in this county lower taxes don't raise or renew them. I don't know all th

Sorry that I am just responding Stradial have not been on site for a couple of days. You know it is something I have not really considered but I can't think of any comedy movie that I go crazy about. I think it is hard for me to stay focused on a bad movie that long. Maybe that is why I like stand up where an hour is a big time headliner and the openers are 15-30 minutes. But not to avoid the question maybe Slapshot , Grumpy Old Men ( a little close to home) and almost any light comedy with Cary Grant. I am sure there are others but I am a boring documentary, classic movie kind of guy.

Did not think about that one, again not really into MB but yes if I had to watch one that would be my pick.

I guess everybody has different taste. Never found Mel Brooks to be funny at all. Don't like Blazing Saddles or HOTW. I know it is only comedy but they are poorly shot, acted and really corny jokes (maybe that is part of the appeal but I don't like it). Again I probably like a lot of things others do not but never liked MB and just ok with C&C. I like stand up comedians but really not into any comedy movies. Ain't saying its right just saying that's how it is with me. JMO.
