  1. Last nights left overs, minus the deviled eggs. The hubs and kids go to those earlier.
  2. I LOVE boiled peanuts too. Cajun boiled peanuts are even better. I wish I could find the recipe that I was given when the Kountry Market closed (near Crossroads). She made the best ones I have EVER eaten. I do know she cooked her cajun ones about 2 days and her reg ones a day.
  3. My doctor would not recommend it, but would not speak bad of this. She gave us some pamplets and info and told us to do our research and she would be happy to help us in any way, but she would not recommend because it is a new drug. She said if she recommended it and something happened to my daughter because of it, she would feel responsible.
  4. Fried chicken, potato salad, green beans (cooked all night and all day in crock pot..YUM!), deviled eggs, cole slaw, and rolls. I'm still hurting and wishing I could stuff more in at the same time..LOL
  5. LOL Are you kidding?!?!? My daughter and I love when you get excited about the game. Now, it wouldn't have hurt my feelings one bit if you would have gotten a little excited at the kids behind you with the air horns Friday. I know they were just having fun, but that is one group I will not sit next to at another game...as much as I love 'em. I much prefer when my daughter and I sit by ourselves and friends drop in for a minute then are gone, that way I can stay into the game...less distractions. Have a great week! Oh yeah. Did anything happen after we left early (5 minute left in
  6. Has their location at 92 and East Paulding Dr closed also? We used to go in every week when our kids were in JROTC and the older man and the younger guy were always so sweet.
  7. I have always been told oral is accurate, under arm add one, rectal subtract one. All 4 of mine are teenagers and it's possible things may have changed since mine were small enough to take a rectal temp..lol I was also told to call my peds when their temps got 102 or higher. I hope your babies get better soon. There is no feeling any worse than children being sick and not being able to kiss it away.
  8. Will you post a link for the rest of us, please?
  9. Thoughts and prayers to the friends and family, from the mother of 2- 14 year olds. I pray he is home soon and safely.
  10. Uh-huh. -- Don't give your baby soothing syrups. LOL They just called it something different than we do.
  11. Bless your heart, I know first hand what kind of emotions you going through. My hubby was badly injured almost 14 yrs ago in a car wreck, our only vehicle. I was home alone with our 4 month old twins, 3 yo daughter, and 5 yo son. If there is anything we can do to help, please don't be shy in asking. I know everyone is having a hard time right now, but where there is a will, there is a way. Try to get some rest, you'll need it.
  12. AMEN!! My elementary route was out there last year. Some people fly down that road.
  13. When we went out to be nosey today, there was a regular sized orange sign off to the side of the road at the 4way stating that the road was closed ahead, but nothing but a dirt pile at the wash out area. I did not notice any cones, barrells, or tape there. As some one else stated, that doesn't mean there wasn't any there at another time. I'm glad the kid wasn't hurt..the car can be replaced and I bet he learned a good lesson out of this experience.
  14. Donna and Ronnie, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for all of you. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Wendy and Shane LeCroy and family.
  15. We went, but only got to stay long enough to see my daughter's dance team from EPHS. My grandmother (86 yo) decided she was coming down to dad's to visit today and didn't call me until 9:30 this morning, so we were rushed. I did get to see the last part of SPHS band and they were awesome!! The food smelled great, too.
  16. Try the Dollar Tree in Acworth and off of Wade Green in Kennesaw. The Kenn. location usually has a much better selection of items than the others I have been to. I would also check out eBay, if you haven't already done so. Our youth group LOADED up on glowsticks there for almost nothing one year. Maybe Brooke's Salvage? Best of luck!!
  17. Oh no! I was so hoping he would be alright after the game. My daughter goes to school with him and was concerned when it happened. It has been such a crazy week that I haven't got to see her much to find out how he was doing. Praying he will have a speedy recovery!!
  18. LOL, I don't think I can post mine. She's not naked, but close.
  19. Have you tried washing them in hot water then drying them in the dryer after you wear them?
  20. My kids needed loose leaf graph paper for one teacher, another was okay with the notebook style. My son prefers the notebook while my daughter prefers loose leaf, so I stocked up at Staples a few weeks ago when it was B1G1, because we didnt find it until a couple weeks after school started last year and they had to purchase it by the sheet from the media center. *whew, catch my breath after that loooong run-on sentence* I'm glad I am not my children's language arts teacher, they would surely fail..lol Yeah, everything can get temendously expensive, that's why I always stock up on the b
  21. We did the same with rutabagas *sp* and sweet potatoes. PawPaw Terry kept a salt shaker in his truck for our trips to the fruit stand to buy our rutabagas.
  22. pineapple and mayo sandwiches peanut butter, mayo, and banana sandwiches peanut butter and mayo sandwiches (haven't had one in years!) I eat dill pickles with my pinto beans and cornbread, along with a BIG slice of sweet onion. My grandfather always had to have dill pickles with his beans and fries taters. I LOVE sweet pickled cauliflower. I craved it with my 1st pregnancy and still keep a jar of sweet mixed or cauliflower ready at all times in the fridge. I like worchestershire sauce and ketchup on my baked potato. If I have some sauteed onions and mushrooms with it, it's
  23. I would figure a burger and hot dogs each person, also. I would throw in a few extra just in case someone had a friend or two with them. If you do a veggie tray, I wouldn't do an elaborate one. Carrots, brocolli, cailiflower, cucumbers and maybe some olives and gherkins would work good with some ranch dip. The majority of those can be purchased at Sam's pre-cut and ready to use. Most of my family seems to prefer fruit over veggies. I use green and red seedless grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, and honeydew (if reasonably priced). I ball all of my melons the night
  24. We tend to go Monday-Thursday when we go. I have never seen a REAL need for one on those days. The kids were in and out of most rides within 30 minutes, Goliath took about an hour. We did notice the line for Monster Plantation grew very quickly, so we bypassed it. I hope you guys have fun.
