  1. Well darn. We went in on Friday and no one told us the stuff in boxes was $1. The only thing posted for $1 outside (that I saw) was out of date mayo in the boxes. If we would have known, we would have grabbed SEVERAL more items than we did. How long is the $1 sale going?
  2. Oh it didn't rain, it POURED! We waited until about 8:30 to get there. When we got there the parking wasn't bad, we found a spot right away in the big field behind the old school house. We stopped for burgers on the way and sat in the little pavilion at the field to eat. Just as we finished eating, the bottom dropped. Alot of people left, but we stuck it out. It rained for a good 20 minutes or so and then they let the fireworks go. It was a good show.
  3. Bo is the ONLY person I can remember from the old WalMart. I used to go in as a young teen with my sister in law. He was always very helpful and always had a smile and a greeting. When I see him now, he always smiles and asks how we've been doing.
  4. We found out we were expecting twins when our now 19 and 17 yo's were 5 and 3. My MIL used to bug them to death about it. She would constantly ask them "What are we going to do with 2 more babies." My 3 yo always replied, "Love them, Grandma." My oldest would say this and that, then finally he got aggaravated with her and said "Put them in the back seat with Bre" (my 3 yo)..LOL
  5. Karen, You truly are so VERY blessed. I can't speak for your daughter because I don't know her, but that young man of yours is one of a kind!
  6. It was CRAZY down there yesterday, but a great experience for the one I took down. It was her 1st year to try out. They said her voice wasn't strong enough, to keep working on it and to move more next time..lol There was some great talent there. I am SO glad I was not one of the judges. They definitely had their work cut out for them. I did see Wade there and was heart broken that he didn't receive a yellow ticket to go to the next round of auditions. Good luck next year for all the ones who didn't make it this year. Congrats on all those who did!
  7. There are no words that I can say to ease this family's pain right now. This is such a shock! Denise and Phillip (and other family and friends) hugs and prayers are all I have to offer right now. May God continue to give you a peace that surpasses all understanding.
  8. I have some extra stuff here from last year..and a few things from years past, if you would like them. Our youngest children will be going into 8th this year and won't be needing the crayons and a few other things I have. Some of the things are from Washington Mutual's wamoola for school, or whatever it was called 3-4 years ago. You might be able to make a call to their Hiram location and get the manager to donate a few of the "prize items" left from the school year. Let me know what day/time would be best for me to drop them off to you...or would you rather I hold on to them until clo
  9. I also had a good time. It was nice getting to meet some pcommers I had not met, and great getting to see some that I haven't seen in awhile. Mrs G, I'm glad you and General got to try the carrot cake. I think my kiddos are going to talk me into baking another today..LOL And thanks again for the chicken, it was delish!! Charlie, the cotton candy was a BIG hit, especially with my hubby. I can't count how many he had...he was sending other folks to get him more..LOL Biggest kid of all! Congrats to DOTwife on being the 1st annual coupon queen. What a fabulous job she did!!
  10. My kids enjoyed coming in and picking theirs out yesterday. You have a lovely gift area!! Thanks for the great deal!!!
  11. Too cool!! Maybe you'll still be around when we get there, it's been quite awhile since we've seen you guys. We have some friends playing there as well. One group is on at 4pm and the other at 7pm. That's what I heard last, I hope it hasn't changed..my youngest son has a football physical at KSU at 12.
  12. Anyone know any updates on this?? I guess I should've been on Pcom instead of walking around my yard (on Bobo Rd) and I may have known this was going on, huh?
  13. Anyone know if this was the same driver who busted the fence at Moses? They went through one piece of fence, then out through another piece of fence, and took a small tree out on his way out.
  14. Thansk for the coupon. Could you include a copy of the back, the info about the twilight party?
  15. Thank you. My daughter will be pleased to know there is place so close by. She loves those and saves up her $$ so she can add new ones to her collection. I may have to run by there this weekend and see if there are any that catch her eye for her Easter basket.
  16. How much are your WebKinz? reg and l'il ones?
  17. No AC here. I wore sleeves up until the time I crawled back on my bus this afternoon..then they HAD to come off..lol It was a beautiful afternoon!!!
  18. From their website: Teacher Appreciation Nights*: Monday through Wednesday nights for dinner, any employee of the school system will receive a 50% OFF discount to their entree with the purchase of a beverage.
  19. I am 37, no family medical history, but my doctor told me when I went in for my annual exam that I should've already started getting them. So, I am assuming they are now recommending we start at age 35.
  20. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. The memorial marks 1 year since she passed. We have almost made it through our year of firsts without her, which will hopefully (Please, Lord) make the coming years a little easier. One day at a time...
  21. Chuck was telling me about her singing with them. I can't wait to hear her. He said she has a beautiful voice. I have heard the girls practice some of the song, but never sing it all the way through. I can't wait to hear it with your daughter. I am just a little biased towards his 3 kiddos, but I have to agree with them being talented and sweet..lol It will be nice to meet you, just wish it were different circumstances. Wendy
  22. Chuck told me you guys were going to be there. It will be good to see you all again.
