I see you've been watching television. So what's a company to do when it can't make payroll or pay the vendors? If you think Perdue pocketed that much, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona you can buy. Heck you might ask the Nunn campaign to help you finance it since they are spending all kinds of $$$ on negative campaigning, they have $$$ to burn. LOL -

A little brawl at the Commissioners meeting last Night
tundra replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm still shaking my head at this meeting. Our county officials get a 59 page document Monday night for discussion Tuesday and a vote Tuesday night. And the airport director gets all up in arms because he didn't get what he wanted? Just like every other project, the cost is twice as much as projected in May. But now they want to take our elected officials out of the oversight of this Environmental Assment? That almost $300,000.00 contract doesn't even include the public participation portion. We were assured at the PCAA meeting last week, there is no way the contract could go over $3 -

Renter's insurance is the best investment you can make if you rent. Most everything that you own is inside your house. If a fire or storm takes it out, would you be able to start from scratch? Most people wouldn't. I rented for the first 20 years of my adult life, renter's insurance was purchased every year. Only had to use it once, thank goodness, when my then two year old son decided making a mark all the way around a visitors van with a rock would be a good idea. Yea, had to pay to get that van repainted. We were all standing in another part of the yard when he did this, didn't see w

Western By pass to airport back into planning stages
tundra replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yea, that's what they told us about 278, that's what they are saying about the widening of 92............this by pass is to connect the airport to 75, I'm not a rocket scientist but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn before. I think we need a major truck route through Helen Georgia, it would connect them to South Carolina and the coast. Just think of all the jobs it would bring to that area. -

Planned, sensible growth is welcome............how about we fix what we've got before we keep rezoning and adding stuff? There are unfinished subdivisions still all over Paulding County, many buildings in downtown Dallas sit empty, deteriorating. Look at the old PKW building on Butler Industrial, it's in shambles. How about we make them use those areas that are already zoned for the purposes they seek, when they get full, if we need a new bypass then we can build it. This build it and they will come attitude is driving up taxes, straining our public safety and school system. How abou -

Why in the heck do we need all that growth? Jesus, people moved here to get away from all that...........they don't mind commuting to work or to Hartsfield to jump on a plane to anywhere. Sorry, people moved here to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cobb and Atlanta........why the heck don't they just move back there if that's what they want? Oh yea, the taxes are much more affordable, well they were until they started this mess. -

The cost of this toll road construction was underestimated by 1/2, when the DOT got hold of it, they doubled Blake's estimate. It is feasible? -

Yes, they are calling it the Scoggins Road extension. Let me see if I can get the pic to post. Not the greatest but it's the best we have. You can see the dotted line with the "new" road coming from Scoggins Road. It's NOT on the web site, this was a pic taken by a participant. So much of this depends on the airport, their projections are based on having a commercial airport. Sorry, that's not going to happen. -

Anyone know where we can find this information on the internet? I was told it was available for viewing. Looks like Gone and I had the same thought, where is this info? -
Yes we have a new airport crash truck. I agree the county has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 15 years, but to hear some people you'd think all are against growth. I don't think anyone has a problem funding public safety, I have a problem telling everyone we need to do one thing to fund Public Safety they turning around and instituting a fire tax while most people are busy with election results. Not sure why the leaders of this county seem to try to slide stuff in at their convenience with little public input.
