Yep. When it was decided that drug reps couldn't give pens/notepads/etc. anymore they'd unload their trunks with supplies. I had my EpiPen rep give me all the pens and digital timers he had at the time, and that was 12 cases. In the nearly 7 years I've worked in doctor's offices, 4 different ones for 2 specialties, I've not seen a drug rep leave anything since late 2008. One office, which was part of a large hospital/educational system, refused drug reps so there weren't even samples to give.

We don't know how long she'll be here. We drove up to Iowa to pick her up (about halfway) and our original plan was to fly her back there (it'd be much cheaper and she could ride back home with a friend who lives there) but since she brought the dog, she won't fly because she doesn't want the dog in the bottom of the plane, so now we have to drive her 14 hours back home or try to find someone to meet us halfway. I guess I'm in the minority in not wanting animals on the furniture. I'm still not allowing them in the bedrooms though.

If you have indoor pets, do you allow them to jump on the furniture, sleep in/on your bed, encourage them on the furniture, and/or bring them with you everywhere you go? We have indoor dogs and I don't allow them on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Hubby has been good about backing me up on this, but when my MIL visits she brings her little dog with her (without asking) and that dog only sits in her lap or on the couch (usually the arm or on the back of the couch). I can't stand going to someone's house with pets and getting up from the couch looking like their pet because I'm covered in p

Trust me, there are no kickbacks. Heck, drug reps can't even give doctor's offices pens/notepads/mugs with their product or company on it anymore. Lunches can still be brought in ONLY if there's an update (such as improved coverage with an insurance company) and every staff member that eats has to sign in with name and title so the drug rep can verify there were x number of people at lunch, and external dinners can only be offered if it's a brand new product or huge update and it's presented as an educational situation where the drug rep has to bring in a speaker from the company and give a

I was proud of my Falcons last night. It was a much closer game than anyone expected. Yes, mistakes were made, but to get that close to Green Bay on the road is pretty amazing!

My favorites are John Berry's version of O Holy Night and Alabama's version of Christmas In Dixie. If you haven't heard John Berry sing O Holy Night you are sorely missing out. He was the first one to really do it justice, and all the other powerhouse singers have tried and not quite hit it since he did. Growing up I always changed the lyrics to White Christmas to say "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I've never known" but we finally got a white Christmas a few years ago--the only one in my life! I also like Jingle Bell Rock and a good version of Silent Night, Mary Did

Part of the problem is news traffic reporters. Whenever there is a malfunctioning traffic light they all say to treat it as a 4-way stop. Yes, the law is for the red-light side to stop until clear and the yellow-light side to proceed with caution, but people listen to traffic reporters, the "experts" and do that. There are so many people from other parts of the country that probably do the 4-way stop thing instead of the local laws. I do think that you should at least have to take the written GA driver's test when you move here. I'm getting tired of people turning left and cutting me off w

Congrats! You did better than I did. I wrecked on the first road day, high-sided over the handlebars and wound up on crutches with a badly sprained knee, ankle, and massive road rash. Do you have your bike already, or will your Christmas gift be a new Harley?

Reports: Grand jury reaches decision on Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson
J'smom replied to Mustluvdogs's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I hope the evidence will finally be made public. A neutral, 3rd-party, from outside the state of Missouri, needs to state each piece of evidence as it was presented, no opinion one way or the other, and let everyone know what the findings were. I don't know if that would help the looters and rioters but it may help those who are on the fence. Prayers for the town and the country and for both families. -
We're not in the sticks! LOL.

People don't account for their own actions anymore. Everything is someone else's fault.

I want some bacon. And maybe pancakes. So they're filming Footloose at the Briar Patch? Cool.

I'm surprised they'd give your flu shot with your Xolair shot. We give flu shots after you get a regular allergy shot once you wait your 30 minutes, but I'd be hesitant to give the same day as a Xolair just because the Xolair is a risky injection by itself. Sounds like the flu shot was given lower than where it should have been. The flu shot is supposed to be fairly high on the side of the arm, whereas the Xolair and allergy shots are given more in the back and a little lower, in the fatty subcutaneous tissue. Some localized redness and soreness is common with the flu shot because it does

I had a recurring ingrown toenail and it drove me up the wall. Big toe, left foot, right side. It got infected after the 2nd or 3rd time I dug it out at home, so after a round of antibiotics I went to a podiatrist. Yes, Dr. Laur with Village Podiatry in Hiram is awesome! He cut it out and even put this stuff on the root so it wouldn't grow back like that again. I walked away from his office pain-free for the first time in a long time. He numbed the toe very well so I felt nothing, and the relief of having the nail out was amazing. I had to keep it propped up for 24 hours and soak it in

What about when the rules change after the fact? My friend moved to a HOA neighborhood and got a notice that they needed to sell their vehicle because it wasn't allowed in their subdivision. They drove a Ford Explorer SportTrac, the SUV with a small truck bed on it. Pickup trucks are not allowed in the neighborhood. That was not in the original HOA covenant when they moved in, but as more residents moved into the development they added more and more rules. My friend was forced to sell their personal vehicle or not be allowed to park in their own driveway. My subdivision is HOA and I

My mom had it pretty badly several years ago. She had to be put under general anesthesia and the ortho manually manipulated her shoulder to "unfreeze" it.

Side by sides are too narrow for wide items in either side. We have a French door with freezer in bottom and ice/water in the door. The only downside is the small freezer. We had to buy a small upright freezer for the garage to justify our Sam's Club membership.

Dallas Restaurant turns away customer with a Service Dog
J'smom replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I thought service dogs had to wear their vest identifying themselves as such. A patient brought their service dog to my office one day, and since it was an allergy office, other patients were complaining and yelling at the manager to make the dog leave. The patient did point out the service vest and clarify that it was for a hearing disability and manager told the other patients to sit down and mind their own business. Not every service dog is a German Shepherd with a rigid leash/handle on it! -

Yep, Harvick pushed Keselowski toward Gordon and that's how Gordon was able to grab him. Gordon moved up high on the track, Harvick went to an open spot, and Gordon came back down and hit him. It was racing, pure and simple. I want to know who put Keselowski in a headlock.

Because I want to know. How in the world is that thumbs up? Thanks!

I get headaches every 28-30 days, lasting 3-4 days, and it's due to the fluctuating hormone levels that accompany my cycle. Oral contraceptives might help mine, not sure if that's an option for you? Hope you get some relief.
