After you set up my new computer and moved my data/pics everything is working great except my pics. I am sure that it is me not doing something correctly so when you get back to work, I will need your help in getting them to open up in my program that will edit them. I will contact you after the 1st of the year and I hope you have a great vacation.

I was told it was a hoax but I think because they were having trouble getting it going. I have it pulled up now and have gotten in 2 times to enter my email address. Hopefully I will get at least one of the 90% off coupon items....

People on FB are reporting this as a hoax. Nothing has shown up on the site with special pricing and it was supposed to start at 10 am.

Not unless the calendar says "Due to inclement weather, schools are CLOSED". I CAN read the website. The announcement that I saw was at the top of the page.

When I checked the website at 8:46 (yes I looked) it was showing that schools were closed. Maybe you need to refresh your page, I don't know why yours didn't show it.

I am with you on that. WSB is already talking about upper tree limbs icing and breaking......not good.

According to WSB we should expect more freezing rain throughout the night. If we do it will be a real mess by morning. If all of this does happen, I would seriously doubt they will take a chance of having the buses on the roads in the morning considering what is happening right now.

We stop gifts at age 21. We only buy for the little ones. All of the older ones are pretty much on their own and working. Economy just doesn't dictate gifting all of them anymore and they understand.

Daughter called and is stuck on Bill Carruth between 278 & Hiram Sudie. Can't see a wreck or anything so she doesn't know what is going on. She said she is just sitting along with everyone else. She still has to go to Hiram Sudie to Hwy 61S to the New Ga. area. Will probably be a long, bad drive. Praying that she and the grandkids make it safely!

Ya know I was at Kroger about an hour ago and didn't even look at the milk & bread....I didn't need any! LOL

My thoughts are that the EMS doesn't enter until the SO arrives.....it could be that the SO needs to go in and verify that it is an overdose/suicide attempt rather than a homicide staged as a suicide. If EMS goes in and it is not an actual suicide attempt they could contaminate any evidence that the SO would need to find the guilty party. The EMS safety is also at the top of the list. Some people want to do the "suicide by cop" and if they take an EMS with them they wouldn't care.

We are on a well and when it gets this cold and stays cold we have problems with the pipes freezing where it comes out of the well. Hubby keeps a heat lamp bulb on with the door closed on the well house. We also leave water dripping in the tub at the far end of the house. Normally if we do that then we don't have a problem.

I feel so sorry for those little kids (big kids too) that have to stand out and wait on the bus or the ones that have to walk. If their parents have to go to work they don't have an option but the bus or walking. It is way too cold for anyone to be out in for any length of time.

I like the recipe for the fudge that is on the jar of marshmallow creme. Easy & good! I usually make the chocolate and peanut butter fudge.

I am keeping you in my prayers. It will be difficult but you CAN do it. Enjoy every minute that you have and do whatever you want to do together. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Did he ever change doctors? Mine is still seeing Dr. Strauss and the next time he goes to Emory so he is seeing someone every 3 months for his scans.

We ate there last night and I was not impressed...I have never seen sausage gravy put over mashed potatoes before and IMO it wasn't very good.

There are a couple of people on Hiram Sudie Rd. that have stacks of wood for sale. I think they have some that are 10.00 & 20.00. This might work for you and I think it is seasoned wood. You could always get a fire started with this and then add some green wood to make it burn longer.

We have been buying (not extravagant) for the grandkids only for the last few years and it makes it so much easier and less stressful. We "adopt" someone from church and buy for the less fortunate. There are so many out there that can't even afford food for the family let alone toys. I feel that it is better to get them some food, clothing, necessities and a couple of small toys for the children than it is to buy for someone who really doesn't need stuff. I use to stress about buying for everyone but no more. I set a limit for each child and stick to it.

Mine has been like this since pcom did the upgrade. I don't have to put in passwords anymore, the forums come up automatically.....I have logged off, cleared cookies, emptied cache and even rebooted the computer but it still comes up automatically. Oh well, if it isn't something I normally look at I just ignore that thread.

I think it depends on the amount of disability they get and also the number of people in the household. It is an income/need based program from what I understand. Just because they receive disability benefits that does not entitle them to any type of health coverage for them or their dependents. It only gives them an income to pay rent/groceries/utilities, etc. I could be wrong but this is my understanding.
