VERY WIDESPREAD. It happens very often and usually due to the fact that paperwork gets "misfiled" frequently. However, the local food stamps are overseen by the individual states, who use some money granted from the feds. Many times, people turn in paperwork at the reception desk but do not wait to have it scanned for their case worker or fail to put their case number or social security number on the actual paperwork. Even faxes have been misfiled. Sometimes, it just gets lost. This is a "normal" issue and despite the inconvience, is usually handled quickly. The problem is that even

I don't think she's threatening anything. I think she's frustrated enough to feel the need to protect her property after repeated thefts. Besides, I highly doubt someone desperate enough to steal gas would be have enough money to have an internet connection, so putting the warning out here is more venting then anything. Which I can totally relate to. Tuscany, talk with a Deputy. You have a right to defend yourself, but make sure the offender is armed before you shoot. Otherwise, shoot at the ground in front of you, not into the air. (what comes up must come down). Stay Safe.

Stocks are about to plunge, Wells Fargo strategist warns
Magic Mommy replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yeah, they plunged last month and I was able to sink a couple of hundred into my southwest stock, which bounced back and doubled since I bought at 8.68 a share. So my thoughts? I plan on taking a little off the Christmas budget and padding the rest of the tiny portfolio. Thanks for the heads up! -
VERY similiar situation here. I had a sudden and tragic loss that ignitied the a serious depression. I have some amazing people in my life who realized that in one year, I lost way too much weight and stopped being social. They came into my home and literally dragged me out of bed to remind me I've still got a lifetime ahead of me. That day last May was what provoked me to changed EVERYTHING in search of "contentment" NOW, not "someday"...TODAY. And in just a few short months, we may still be a little on the short stack income wise, we've discovered how very rich we really are. How Bless

Best friends are getting married. They've only been together for almost two decades, so they are not in "need" of anything. I am having trouble getting inspired for gift ideas. They need nothing for the home, I honestly don't anticipate them asking for cash in lue of gifts, and when it comes to things they "want", they have the means to go buy what ever wants they have so they usually do. I want to do something original and thoughtful. I have some time, the wedding's not until next year. But I want it to be great, so if it's expensive, planning now ensures I'd be able to do it. The

Mine too! She's about as girly and sparkly as they come. But I'm teaching her how to be "modest", a word that seems to be lost in today's vocabulary. My baby doll LOVES her clothes. She has "pretty-girl clothes" and play clothes. She likes to dress nicely for school, including wearing dresses. However, she refuses to leave the house in a dress without her "bloomers". In the summer, she's got the peddle pusher shorts on underneath (all color coordinated and everything). In the winter, she wears leggings under her skirts and dresses. So, put me in the "bad mom" camp because I want my

I am so glad you said that, I was about to defend Casey. He is the son of a pcommer, who may or may not see this. She should be proud, he's a great kid. -
Police: Man beat 9-year-old girl in Best Buy bathroom
Magic Mommy replied to lucky64's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I wasn't at the mall, but this is me. My ten year old is autistic, is as tall as I am, and he will go alone into a men's public restroom over my dead body. I don't care who gives me dirty looks and if anyone has the nerve to say anything in front of me you can BET I will put them in their place. My boys go in the men's room when Daddy is with us. Otherwise, they stay with me. Period. -
Cheap Cheap Place to RV Park for a few days nearby

McIntosh Reserve, Carrol County off HWY 27. It's about a half hour from my house in Dallas to that location. Extremely reasonable rates, free firewood, spots right on the Hooch, very private and family friendly. -
http://topinfopost.com/2013/07/20/female-runner-caught-on-camera-repeatedly-pooping-in-mans-yard My link I haven't been online much, but I saw this story this morning and I just knew to post it here.

I was at fault for taking a stray in to rehome and paying for it to get spayed? No, that's not wrong, that's compassionate. That dog continues to live a happy and spoiled life. I just felt bad for the puppies. And I didn't trust the vet for not speaking to us about it when SHE knew the dog was pregnant, we were not the medically trained vets, SHE was.
-
I didn't know ahead of time because it was a stray, but she said she knew because she had heard the heart beats, she just didn't know how many until the surgery. She told my husband that she didn't talk to us about it because she knew it was a stray we were trying to rehome. I understood that, and I think she thought she was saving us the money of taking on a pregnant dog, but it really bothered me. I would have taken them all and kept the ones I couldn't find a home for. This was a long time ago, to be fair to her. Back in 2007, I believe, maybe a little longer. We had all our dogs the

Lugar USED to be our vet. We took a dog in to be spayed and she was pregnant. Dr Lugar was kind enough to murder 9 puppies without asking us if we wanted them dead or if we wanted to let the dog deliver them and THEN get spayed. Then she chraged me just short of $300 for it. So yeah, I totally believe she did this and accident or not, it's par for the course for this practice. We now go to Community Animal Clinic of South Paulding now. I took a family member's dog in for an emergency vist last week. It cost me $47.00.

With a grudge, I agree. I'm on prepaid plan and as much as I thought I'd hate it, I'm well under budget and our usage is monitored daily, so I adjust where needed. That's the best part for us, seeing what we consume. We're using about $40 a week right now, which is right at $160 for the month. Before the plan we're on, my highest bill for the year was $388, and that was in August. Last summer was our first full summer on the plan and the income was less then now, so we "suffered" and kept our usage around $100-$120 per month, and that was a struggle. We did it by going to the pool or out

LMBO!! I saw this one the news and I KNEW you'd be posting about it. I literally thought about you, right then and there, TP. You never fail to disappoint!

I'm not. Nor do I fear taking my kids out. I refuse to live in fear of that which I can't control. That's the kind of strength my faith gives me, but its also about sanity. I will not hide in my house and put my family in a bubble because the world is changing. We will adapt and thrive and protect what is ours by any means necessary. And no, I do not own a gun, neither does my husband. I think the first robbery was organized and in the video the thugs appear older, not teenagers. I think the one in VR was a copycat, but little wanna be thugs who live in the area. I suspect the sa

Spin off of panhandling thread...
Magic Mommy replied to Magic Mommy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I now have a phone number for the wife. I plan on calling her, just not sure what to say. I'll tell her about your suggestions about seeking help at churches (which didn't help me when I was in need) and Helping Hands (which did). I don't have a lot of money to spare, which is why I donated to the jar. But I figured I could offer to help with any house work or errands, if they have children and she grows to trust me (and my kids), maybe I can help her with that while she's taking care of the medical needs for her husband. I don't know, I can't explain. She touched my heart in suc -

Spin off of panhandling thread...

Thanks for the advice, but everytime I've referred anyone to the United Way, no viable help was recieved. Thank you anyway. -
I totally missed that one. Thanks for clearing that up.

We all see the race card played daily, and not just in black culture. I fully agree that it's more about stupidity then brains, which is why the only weapon I have against stupid is to raise my kids to know better. It's like the term "politically correct", there really isn't such a thing as "freedom of speech" anymore. I wasn't a Deen fan to begin with, I don't think she should have lost her contract with Food Network. I was not her demographic, even if I look like it. She's not losing anything from me anyway.
