  1. You are not crazy and it is not just you. My family and friends will confirm I have this same complaint. It's like everyone else is drunk and I'm just trying to get away from the idiots. It's not just Paulding, either. Although it seems that way since I drive a lot around here. I think people just don't pay attention to what they're doing anymore. That's why we have so many fatal accidents in the metro area. Scares me to death....to the point that I am terrified to drive around with my kids, even during the bright day time. Stay safe out there
  2. Hey, I have a new one! Two years ago, we were looking for a reliable, used van under $10K. We spent two months searching for the right vehicle with a monthly payment we could actually afford. We went everywhere from Carmax and the big dealers to the "buy here pay here" lots. On a whim, we pulled into Nathan's Auto (next to CVS at Atlanta Hwy and Dallas Hwy/120) and ended up driving away in our "new", used, Town & Country for way less then anyone else offered. We did have it checked by a dealer mechanic before purchase and have never had an issue with our van. (it was under $8K with
  3. Going to see U2 in Denver tomorrow.
  4. I have itty-bitty's and we buy balloons frequently. My kids love the licensed stuff...Cars, Thomas, Sesame Street, Princess, Etc...but they're also varied in their interests. I'd love to see a musical themed balloon, or sports-themed. My daughter loves butterflie, frogs, and kittens, and my sons love bugs, mud, trucks, and trains. Everyone loves critters: aniamls of anykind. Oh-and...ALL the kids love shaped balloons: stars, hearts, letters, character/animal shaped, etc. Ok, now that you have my order...Let us know when you're up and running! **Forgot to add that one kid L
  5. In a lot of ways, I think faith is STILL strong. Stronger now, even. We're suffering too. Had an unfair lay-off, a dirty owner giving bad references, and finally, hubby had to LIE on his resume **AND get a friend to lie for him (reference) just to get a job. But it did back fire recently...the interviewer found out about hubby working for dirty boss and hubby didn't put it on the resume. (They found out because a former employee recomended him for the job and the interviewer only wanted to hear how the other guy knew hubby) Sucks that we had to do that, but funny how God
  6. I'm not a doc, but this happened to me for the first time last summer. I didn't go to the doctor until Decemeber, when I was really sick with strep and had chest pains too. I found out that strep untreated turns into scarlet fever. I had really bad strep twice in the past two years. Both times, I ended up with scarlet fever. Scarlet fever attacks the heart and deteriotes the aortic valve. You should see a specailist. You would know if you had scarlet fever...it lasts anywhere from 10 days to 2 months. In my case, it was 2 months (both times). I'd see a specialist no matter what. Th
  7. I have recently been wondering this same thing. My baby doll will be four on Wednesday and she wants hers done. My mom made me wait until I was ten (old enough to care for them) and I remember it HURT and took forever to heal (four to six weeks to a ten year old is a lifetime). I wish I had done it for my daughter when she was an infant. Instead of waiting. Now, I guess I'll do it when she's old enough to take care of it... If you do decide to go for it, let us know how it went and where you went.
  8. Lady Raider is right about getting a gun pulled on you. I was leaving my neighborhood and came to a cross street. I made eye contact with the woman in the other car as I was approaching the intersection. She waited until I was right there, then pulled out in front of me and slammed on the breaks. I had one of my babies in the car!! I swerved to the right, went OFF the road and around her, got back in front of her and took the next right to get away from her. After a few minutes, I calmed down, made it out on 278 (toward Hiram) and didn't see her in the rearview. At the light at Bill Cur
  9. ROFL!!! I'll keep that in mind!
  10. Patience has never been my virtue....more power to ya! At least you handle it with a positive attitude! It gives me hope that I'll survive those years!
  11. I'm afraid this is the new norm. I'm gonna miss road trips. Half the adventure of Vacay is getting there! We'd better get used to being molested by the TSA
  12. I hope that when my kids are past this sweet stage and full on into the teen phase that you people will be there to remind me to have a sense of humor about it all. Thanks for making me laugh this morning.
