  1. Congrats to him! THat is a big step. I have not been the same since mine started driving. Everytime they get int he car I take a breath and it doesn't seem like I let it out until they call and tell me they made it safely.
  2. You need to see a neurologist. I went to Douglas Neurology. They will do a little electric shock test, not as bad as it sounds. It will diagnose or rule it out quickly.
  3. Maybe we should start doing that. Seems like it is not only acceptable but from what I am reading on here it should be expected. My son was in that graduating class and I am sure he was not innocent, but I still felt it was a little rowdy. I thought the celebrations usually started after graduation. I guess I was mistaken. I was proud of the way the class reacted to Bridgette's prents accepting her diploma though. It sure m ade me shed a few tears.
  4. They smuggled in a total of 11 beach balls, but only managed to get 5 of them blown up and airborn.
  5. SPHS's graduation was definitely a hoot n nanny. There were air horns, flying chest bumps, cow bells, bubbles, and that was just int he graduating class itself. The audience was even louder and crazier. I kept comparing it to when my older son graduated in 2008 from PCHS. They must have had the fear put in them because they sat quietly and were very respectful. On the upside, you could tell the kids were enjoying their own graduation!
  6. It seems like time is going so slow until they are grown and then you look back and realize those were the best times of your life.
  7. My youngest graduates tonight at SPHS. I am so proud of him for making it to this point. I am looking forward to seeing where he goes from here. I am also excited because I have worked in the PCS System since we moved here in 2001, and now that my youngest is graduating I am resigning and going to college myself. Something I always wanted to do but felt I needed to be with my boys while they were young. It's a happy day!!
  8. In my opinion, as the parent of two young men, I wish that the girls' parents would be a little more concerned about what they are wearing these days. I don't think a tiny bikini is any different in your front yard than it is at the pool. If I had girls I would like to think that if I were buying the said bikini it would at least cover up most of the important parts. But these days what the girls wear to the mall, school, etc. leave very little to the imagination. I often wonder if the girls' parents have really looked at their kids before they walk out of the house because many of them lo
  9. I agree. I don't believe for a minute that she was abused. It ismuch more likely that she is just a spoiled, narcissistic, girl who is blaming everyone for her problems. I do think that the baby may have drowned in the pool. I DO NOT believer her father had anything to do with it or the coverup of it. Anyone who is a trained police officer would know that she would not go to jail for the rest of her life for an accident. That is just a really stupid defense in my opinion. However, an accidental drowning does not explain the duct tape on the babies mouth.
  10. Thanks for sharing those pictures. It just makes me happy to see those babies.
  11. Can someone please tell me the channel number for trutv on Comcast? I can't find it for nothing.
  12. I love True Blood. Lafayette is too awesome. I am watching reruns to get ready for the new season.
  13. I think they are grasping and anything and blaming everyone to try to save her arse. I don't buy the molestation crap at all. She was way to close with her father and brother. Call me crazy, but if someone molests me I doubt that I will be that close to them. She has been a liar since the first day the baby was killed and I think she is continuing to lie.
  14. In hopkinsville, Ky there is no telling what one might see.
  15. Those are really good pictures! I felt like I was watching Animal Planet! They picked a pretty place to raise their children too.
  16. A paraprosdokian is a figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected in a way that causes the reader or listener to reframe or reinterpret the first part. It is frequently used for humorous or dramatic effect. Ø I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness. Ø Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. Ø I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his ca
  17. How very scary. I am glad that your daughter had good people to help and that she is safe. Special needs or not, this person does not need to be out and about unsupervised. Being mentally ill is no excuse for harming someone. I hope he gets the help he needs but my focus is on the safety of the students.
  18. A good question that I have yet to figure out. Over the past 4 years both my boys have taken it and passed. One of them had to take the SS portion a second time but he passed it. However, I still feel that if they are taking and passing all the required classes to get the required credits to graduate that should be enough. My home state never required this test either so it has never made sense to me.
  19. To answer your question about why there were only parents of kids who failed the Social Studies portion of the test; the largest portion of the kids who failed, failed Social Studies. Most of the other sections were passed by the last time the test was given. I have not seen the test but a few of my friends had to read the test to some of the special education students and they remarked on how difficult the SS portion was. I think it is time to look at the curriculum that was taught compared to what was actually on the test.
  20. Ouch!!! I have never heard of strep of the butt, but I definitely don't want it. LOL I have only had strep once and it was nasty nasty stuff. However, since I thought he just had allergies and was being a big ole baby, I have been drinking after him for the past few days. I guess his doctor thinks I might get it because she said just call her if I feel bad and she will call me in some antibiotics. I really think my boys are trying to kill me by strep and stress.

    Strep

My son (18yo) has been sniffling and feeling bad since Friday afternoon. I got tired of listening to him whine and took him to the doctor this afternoon. Well, he has strep. 2 weeks ago he had to have his wisdom teeth removed because of an infection, now strep. I swear my kids will be the death of me. I just want to get him graduated....please!
  22. My neighbor said, "He'll be back." (okay it is funnier if you say it in your arnold voice)
