I get a couple of those fatty country style pork ribs and boil them in salted water until they're tender. Then I add the chopped collards to the boiling ribs. I only add a pinch of sugar if - and only if the collards taste bitter. Usually if you get them after the first frost, they won't be bitter. Remove the ribs, separate the meat from the bone and fat and add back to the collards. Big ol' iron skillet of cornbread and you're all set!

A-MEN! -
My sister was this way with her "sweet little boy" as he was growing up. Every year his teacher "didn't like him for some reason"....etc. He's 21 now, has totaled three cars and one motorcycle; been arrested for pot 3 times; arrested twice before he turned 21 for minor in possession of alcohol; DUI - all of which Mommy & Daddy bailed him out of. Just recently he was arrested for 2 felony charges that Mommy & Daddy will not be able to get him out of. And she wonders why the police always "pick on him." Sheesh!!!! It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

Prayers sent up for TBAR and his family.

Yep. That is the only way we cook them. My Mom read somewhere years ago how to smoke a turkey on a plain old weber kettle grill. It was so good and so easy that it became our family's preparation of choice from then until now.

So much so that I don't even read their ads any more - I toss them to the side! I've been bitten by this particular bug way too many times.

What a touching tribute to your father. My prayers are with you and your family.

I get orders for these every Thanksgiving & Christmas: Sour Cream Coconut Cake Mix together in small bowl: 2 c. sugar 1-16 oz. container of sour cream 1 1/2 pkgs. (6 oz. pkgs) frozen shredded coconut, thawed. (reserve other half of pkg to sprinkle on top of finished cake) After mixing well, place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until sugar is completely dissolved. This is your cake filling. Before using on cake, take out 1 cup and set aside for frosting. While the filling is in refrigerator, bake Duncan Hines French Vanilla Cake mix according to directions on box f

I have watched every episode of Survivor, and I can honestly say that last night's episode was one of the best ever shown! The look on their faces when Russell played that immunity idol was priceless. The only thing that could have made the episode better would have been that Lori hadn't won immunity and she had been the one to go home!

Wow, I know....those flowers looked REAL - and way too pretty to eat! Oh no!! The Candyland cake is damaged!
