So do I; and quite frankly, I'm sick of seeing his face every time I turn on the TV.

I like to think that Daddy would have been proud of me as the adult I have become; and I'm sure yours would be proud of you as well. The times I have missed him most were when I had my children, and then when they had their children. He would have been such a wonderful Grandpa/Great-Grandpa. I feel sure that he watches over us.

My Daddy. He & my Mom were divorced, and he was in the Army so my brother and I didn't get to see him often. In the summer he would pick us up and take us for a week long visit with my Grandmother in Alamo, GA. This was way before I-16 was even THOUGHT about, and we had to take two lane roads all the way. Somewhere along the route was a hole-in-the-wall barbeque place called "Stodgehill's" (sp) where we always stopped and ate the best barbeque I've ever had to this day. I can still hear the screen door of the place creaking when you opened it, and slamming shut behind you........Daddy pa

I have been trying to cancel my local cable service..

This reminds me SO much of when I tried to cancel AOL about five or six years ago! Talk about a "circle-jerk".......and just when I began to think I had actually cancelled them, I received a letter in the mail from them stating "If we don't hear from you within 10 days from the date of this letter, we will re-activate your AOL account." -
Took them for about six months or so.....didn't notice much difference than before I started taking them. However - ortho doctor has started me on a new (for me) prescription medicine for arthritis that is absolutely a God-send! It is called Arthrotec and is made especially for people who have trouble with meds that irritate the stomach. This medicine has made my hip and knee pain literally disappear.

My thoughts are with you, LPPT. We had to part with one of our babies on Christmas Eve one year. It was heart wrenching; but what kept us going was the fact that she was no longer in pain or suffering. {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

Healing prayers being sent up for Paulding Mom as well as for dcbrown72. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I live in fear every day that this dreaded disease will rear its ugly head again.

Do you feat telling your SO anything?
Bigun3026 replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Nope. No fear whatsoever - I can tell second hubby absolutely anything. IMO no human being should ever be in a relationship with someone they fear. I was subjected to that in my first marriage, and would not ever put myself in that situation again! -
I heard that we were supposed to ask the people who live in Camberley Park subdivision.

Here's what I don't understand--------Halloween has been October 31st for at least the last 55 years. (That's how old I am, and I'm not sure when Halloween actually started). Why is it then, that every year some jack-leg wants to change the date?
