First of all, this happened TWENTY-TWO years ago. Secondly, Sam WAS an EMT at the time as well as the owner of the business. Thirdly, if it were against the law to have an escort, it looks to me that the Paulding County Sheriff's Deputies would have refused to do that for us. And last but certainly not least, as I stated in my original post - I remain grateful to Sam and I wish him the best. The posts in this thread supporting him is testament to the kind of man he is.

When my son was 10 years old he had to be transported from Paulding Hospital to Egleston and was in very critical condition. Sam Clark PERSONALLY drove the ambulance and had one of his units ride "shotgun" ahead of us to clear the way at intersections so we wouldn't have to slow down. He also got on the radio and had police escorts for us as they were available. Bottom line is that he got us there in less than 30 minutes - during 5 o'clock traffic! I will forever be grateful to the man and I wish him the best!

I make my Granny's recipe for cooked caramel icing and get requests for it all the time. It is the ! It is kinda tricky, but if done right it hardens like fudge...mmmmmmmmmm

I think maybe your hubby just might be "milking" your offer (no pun intended).......however - I can tell you from experience - I have been quit for 7 years now, and every once in a while I still want one. I don't do it though, because I am positive that if I ever took the first puff I'd be smoking again as if I never stopped; and I feel SO much better since I quit. Good Luck to everyone trying to quit. Especially JJ - it seems like you are really having a hard time.....try the gum - I promise it helps!
