Baritone - I cannot even imagine sending my son off to war. I can, however, tell how how proud I am of your son as well as all the other sons and daughters that are in harm's way while fighting for my freedom. I can also thank you for raising such a fine young man. You should stand tall and be proud.

Had mine out on a Tuesday and went camping that following Friday. Not a pain or an ache or any nausea since then. Would do it again tomorrow!

Your cousin as well as your entire family will have my prayers. PCOM "prayer-sayers" are the best! I am positive that they are responsible for my Grandson being on his way home from Scottish Rite - he was suffering from pneumonia also.

I am so sorry for not posting sooner.....I just got access to a computer. Turns out that the new antibiotic worked like a charm! They started it Monday evening at 6:00 and then again at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. When they came in to check him Tuesday morning the Doctor said that he had made a 100% improvement and if he kept it up he could possibly go home today. After two more doses, THEY ARE ON THEIR WAY HOME!! PRAISE GOD!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers, as I am sure God answered them. I gotta get in their kitchen and make that little fella some of Nana'

Great news! Prayers will continue for your Mom to hurry & get back to normal.

Congratulations, AJ!!!! One of the best things about baby daughters is that they grow up to be such good friends.

Boy, these grandsons are the reason we have grey hair!!! I hope he's back to normal in no time.

Just heard from my son: The doctor just left and they are starting my grandson on yet another antibiotic; this one different from the other two he has been on previously, and this one is more specifically suited to treat pneumonia successfully. The doctor said that the frequent vomiting was yet another way that my grandson was fighting off and getting rid of the infection in his body - and for us to be prepared for another night of that. One positive note was that the bloodwork looked a little better today than it did yesterday - so the prayers are working, folks! Thank you so much! I will be

Just talked to my DIL - that fever is being really stubborn and keeps returning. At one point last night it went back up to 102 (even with the meds). They were up with him off and on all night - poor baby kept vomiting and they kept having to change his sheets. I'll post more when they talk to the doctor.

I am praying God will bring your mother through this just fine.

Just got home from Scottish Rite - handed off granddaughter from one grand parent to the other and got a chance to see my grandson. Fever keeps returning but they are giving him the antibiotics again at 10:00 tonight and then at 6:00 in the morning. At least he ate something while I was there - first thing since day before yesterday. Maybe that means he's on the mend. I will work tomorrow, but then take off Tuesday and Wednesday to stay at their house and get granddaughter off to school. You're both right, hornetmom and suz - Scottish Rite is absolutely the best! We found that out when t

I had mine done at the post office where I applied for the passport.

A big thanks to everyone offering up prayers and good thoughts. My son just called and said the fever goes down, but then comes right back when the tylenol/motrin starts wearing off. They are going to start the second round of high-powered antibiotics at 2:00 this afternoon and they are doing breathing treatments every couple of hours because they can't get his lung capacity to come up at all. It is killing me to not be able to be up there with them - I have my granddaughter (his sister who is 4) and because of the flu risk everywhere, no children under the age of 12 are permitted in the hospi

He was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday in addition to the swine flu that he was diagnosed with on Monday. At Scottish Rite whenever they take him out of the room for tests he has to wear a mask.

Poor baby (he's 6 years old) was diagnosed with swine flu last Monday, and just kept getting worse as he was being treated for it (high fever - 104.8, vomiting, terrible cough). Went back to the pediatrician on Friday, who sent him to the ER (Gwinnett Medical) where they diagnosed him with pneumonia as well as being totally dehydrated. After pumping him full of IV fluids, a round of antibiotics and steroids - THEY SENT HIM HOME!! (That is a battle for a different day.) Early Saturday morning, the fever returned - 104.6 and they returned to the same ER - but this time his pediatricians were not

One memory forever filed away to be brought up as needed for a pleasant thought: Johnny dancing down the aisle toward Baby as she's up on the stage waiting to do "the lift" during their final dance.......{{{{{sigh}}}}} He was a class act (and quite easy on the eyes too). RIP, Patrick - you left us with many great memories.

He went from "low-class" to "no-class." Asshat.
