  1. This is the event we wait for all year long! Its seriously is like my sons Christmas. If there was a monster truck, he might faint from excitement. Can't wait!!
  2. Yep, some people are very self absorbed, rude and oblivious. Way more than they used to be IMO. And it seems more and more drivers are willing to risk life and limb to get where they're going three minutes earlier. Either that, or they're too busy texting to go the speed limit. Not me though, I'm still nice and courteous.
  3. Click the little dot to the left of the topic title. It will bring you to what you haven't read yet.
  4. Last night I made breaded baked pork chops, the best damn cheese grits casserole you've ever had, and blackeyed peas. Tonight I'm making a lemon herb roast chicken, balsamic roasted potatoes and pan-fried asparagus & garlic.
  5. FOXNews thrives on fear and outrage. One of the best things I ever did for myself was to stop watching, and I was a big fan too. There are much more healthy ways for me to stay informed. Informed as in like, facts, not propaganda.
  6. This here is my favorite baked beans recipe. They sort of remind me of Mrs. Winners baked beans. http://addapinch.com/cooking/2013/05/21/southern-baked-beans-recipe/

  8. This is disturbing. Not funny at all. I wish I hadn't watched it.
  9. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs.
  10. I'll never know if I like them or not. I know I like beer though.
  11. Every year my mom asks me to get her a pockabook for Christmas. She thinks I have good taste, apparently. It stresses me out nonetheless. I go shopping in my dungarees and eat a Reesee peanut butter cup on the way. And I always check the "clarance" rack first.
  12. I agree with you on all points but I have to say that the school system has helped my son. He started special needs pre-k in October and man, what a difference. We actually have conversations now and his language is becoming more and more expressive every day. his motor skills are also improving. I absolutely think more can and should be done but I think Paulding Co. is on the right track or at least A track. Not every county has a special needs pre-k. I'm very thankful for it because as you said, we can't afford private therapy. Our insurance won't cover it. Georgia still has its head up its
  13. Alex in the video reminds me a lot of a little boy I know. All that energy. At my house, it's Autism acceptance month.
  14. No kidding. I didn't receive any type of alert. Why is that?
  15. My husband and I sleep with seperate blankets. We both have a twin size. I want no part of his chemical warfare.
  16. It certainly doesn't hurt . That's a considerate friend, right there.
  17. I have a good friend that actually uses this stuff.
  18. Beef soft tacos with homemade Pico De Gallo, jalapeño-lime corn fritters and black beans with caramelized onions and cilantro.
  19. Yep, that's how she got her start. I love the pioneer woman. I feel ya on the kid thing. I do as much pre-prep for my dinners during the day as possible. My child becomes especially needy everyday from 4-5 pm. Thankfully the husband gets home around then so I'm usually able to do my thing without too much interruption. Or at least less interruptions.
  20. I am. Cooking is my favorite thing to do. I wake up thinking about what's for dinner and how I can make it awesome. I've recently considered starting a food blog. I think my FB friends are tired of my food pictures and statuses.
  21. I've got a Cuban inspired pork shoulder slow roasting. I'm turning it into Cuban sandwiches if it ever finishes cooking. Fingerling potato fries on the side.
  22. I love Chesley and the wiz-o-meter. When my son was a baby, he slept terribly. We were up every morning at 4 AM. Chesley helped me start my morning in a positive way. He has a positive way about him. I saw the story about the little boy with down syndrome this morning on Facebook. His parents are awesome. They have an amazing perspective on life and they credit their son with that. He seems like the sweetest little boy. I kind of take your post as meaning only a child with developmental issues could find Chesley entertaining? I apologize if I'm wrong. I guess go ahead and lump me in with that
  23. I'm just relieved we can finally bring our guns to church. The good Lord knows there were plenty more important bills that needed to be passed, such as the life saving bill that would allow cannabis oil for kids who suffer from hundreds of seizures per day, but I'm sure he feels relieved that his followers are finally allowed to be armed while worshiping him. Amen.
