  1. I don't know that I would say it was animal-rights activists who ended up looking stupid. Mainly it was just stupid people who ended up looking stupid. I'm not anti hunting but I personally think it's disgusting to hunt elephants, lions, tigers ect. It's impossible for me to understand why someone would want to kill something so beautiful and majestic for entertainment.
  2. Depressing? No, not at all. I'm happy with my simple life. A remote speaker? Cables? Now you're just being a smart azz. I gave laptops a try but they kept burning out. We have a desktop for my husband's business and such but I spend zero time on it unless I'm printing out a recipe. If I felt inclined to download music it would probably be, John Denver, Muse, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson, more John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, Asia, The cure, type O negative, The Killers, Michael Jackson, Young the giant, maybe even some Trisha Yearwood or Wynonna Judd. Ok, maybe I s
  3. I don't hate music. I'm just really behind when it comes to technology. I'm like the younger felmale version of stradial. When I want to hear a song I will pop in a CD or go to YouTube. I was the last of my friends to get a CD player. The last of my friends to have a CD player in my car, and the last of my friends (and family) to have an iPod. I still had a beeper when everyone else was getting a cell phone. And I was fine with it. I've lived the past two years without a smartphone. I was okay with it. I'm old-fashioned.
  4. I've owned an iPod for at least three years and I have yet to download a song. I only use it for Internet purposes and pictures. It makes no sense, I know.
  5. Are pull-ups ok? I can think of lots of kids who aren't potty trained by 3.
  6. People get distracted by the show she likes to put on but the reality is she truly has talent.
  7. Im 5 days shy of being 446 months old.
  8. I would definitely start watching again if Sarah Silverman were on. Sherri Shepherd was always my favorite. Jenny McCarthy, meh.
  9. Thank you, Dana. thanks again, everyone. I'm not dealing with it so well. I have lost loved ones before but it was always expected. I knew it was coming. Maybe I'm lucky because of that. Idk. It all hurts. This was so sudden and so unexpected. I loved that dog with everything that I had. She was only with me for five years but they were a very important five years. She hated to see me cry. I never cried alone because of her. Until now.
  10. Thank you so much everyone. I miss her.
  11. Thank you. Her boy is still waiting for her to get home, he doesn't understand that she's not coming back. My god, this is so hard. I've never lost a dog like that before. They've all lived to be of old age and we were always able to say goodbye. I hate that she went in a strange place that she wasn't familiar with. I'm heartbroken.
  12. We got the call about 30 minutes ago, Mona passed away. I wasn't there to say goodbye and I'm devestated. She was only 5. She was such a good girl.
  13. My husband called the vet this morning and they said she had another grand mal overnight. They started her on meds. I hope the meds work. I'm scared to death we will get her home later today and she'll have another major seizure.
  14. Yes, HUGE props to New Hope animal hospital. They prepared me with copies of her Blood work and x-rays in case I needed to visit an emergency hospital while they were closed over the holiday.. I cannot say enough good things about them.
  15. I'm just glad there's something I can give her to help her. Her boy misses her terribly. He's literally asked me 15,324 times when she would be home. Ok, Maybe not literally but close.
  16. Oh man. My first baby was 10 days late and even then she didn't want to come out. I feel ya. She's going to be here soon, and it's going to be awesome.
  17. I wanted so bad to believe it was a tragic accident. What has come out in the past day is just beyond anything I had ever imagined. It makes me rethink my stance on the death penalty. Although I would love to see this guy rot in jail forever. Death would be too easy. Still, the guy (and his wife) deserve the worst.
  18. Thank you so much for sharing all of that with me, it does make me feel better. Thank you everyone for the well wishes. She is five years old and has always been as healthy as could be up until the last month. The emergency vet said he suspected epilepsy. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help her live the happiest life possible. She's my best friend.
  19. My husband and I came home this afternoon from the store to find my dog on the floor having a seizure. He rushed her to the Cobb emergency vet and they determined that she had a severe grand mal seizure. Or several. It lasted a long time. She hadn't been feeling well for the past week. She was laying around a lot and not eating much. I took her to the vet yesterday and they couldn't exactly figure out what was wrong with her. After X-rays they thought it was possible she had eaten something that was lodged in her intestine and gave her medicine to help push it out. The vet had also mentioned t
  20. Crap, I forgot about that. Now I feel all paranoid. Happy 4th, peeps!
  21. Brown sugar you say??? I'll have to try it. Thanks for the recipe, DR. That looks like a keeper. I might just use miracle whip though because I've been craving it lately.
