So, do yall think we'll have school tomorrow?
-
Meee too. I had no clue until a few years ago, I finally decided to try them the first time and i've been eating then ever since.
-
I threw some split chicken breasts in the crock pot with butter & various spices. It's yummy & juicy. I also made roasted brussel sprouts & broccoli and baked beans.

I live on a 25mph road, on a sharp curve. I risk my life every time I back out of my driveway because people go so fast. I didn't know there was a website to report such things! Awesome.

To the female driving the champagne Nissan Altima
jennilyn77 replied to tbird's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The thing that kills me about drivers like this, other that the fact that they may actually kill me- do they not consider how bad their own life is going to suck when they do kill someone? The life long guilt they would (hopefully) feel. Do they think it can't happen to them? I guess they think they are invincible. How ignorant. I laid in a hospital bed for almost 2 months as a teenager after a car accident (partly my fault), I absolutely KNOW it CAN happen to me. And it really pisses me off that people like this think so little of my or my childrens lives and the lives of everyone on the roa -

Awesome, thanks. -
I've never seen a teenage boy driving a big fancy truck responsibly and not acting like a punk. I'm sure it happens all the time, i've just never seen it. I'll agree with a sadan. That's what my first car was, it was an 81 Grand Prix that I paid for myself. Ugly as heck but solid and saf(er). I still stand by my belief that 16 is too young to drive. I have 2 more years before my dd is 16, i'm already stressed.

this thread has ADD. I would be overweight, I could lose it. If I were ugly i'd just have to live with it. I can't afford all that plastic surgery.

I just goolged gestational diabetes and large babys. According to Babycenter.com, only a minority of women with well-controlled gestational diabetes end up with overly large babies. I think you are assuming people who have large babies are fat. Being fat is a cause for gestational diabetes. a big baby is not a symptom of it.
-
Nope, no diabetes. I just have large children. My first was 9.3lbs. I'm no dr. but I think your statement that women who have large babies have gestational diabetes is extremely inaccurate. I had a c-section.
-
I had a 10 lb baby. you bet your a$$ I appreciate pregnant parking. It was absolutely my choice and I never expected to have special parking (or such a large baby)but I was glad for it when it was there. I was in a world of hurt for the last month of my pregnancy. Pregnancy is painful. If I can give a pregnant woman my parking spot, or let her in front of me in the bathroom or grocery line ect. I would be happy to. I remember what it was like. Empathy is a good thing.

What was your favorite thing about the 1990's?
jennilyn77 replied to pauldingretroteen's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Headbangers Ball, Sassy/Jane magazine, striped tights, Cypress Hill. Thats all I can remember, I went to a lot of parties in the 90's, at least until 97 when I had my daughter. Oh that reminds me, teletubbies. -
I agree. I think these people are selfish, or trying to fill some sort of void, or just nuts.

I haven't watched any of this trial, so I can't even guess the verdict. IMO, just from what I do know, the dr. was wrong to keep giving MJ drugs when he was clearly an addict. The dr. should face some sort of charges. MJ himself is also to blame, of course. I loved Michael Jackson.

I have mild ocd, I was unable to switch insurance companies because it's a pre-exsisting condition. sorry, but that's ridiculous. Given the fact that our health insurance reached $800 a month this year, if we plan to survive financially we NEED to switch insurance, I'm glad I have the ability to do so.
-
like I said, I don't pay that much attention to politics anymore. All I know is I see people around me losing jobs, we own a business, business sucks and gets worse every month. People are bad off. So yea, I will be happy to see Obama go. I wanted to believe in the change and I gave him a fair chance. IMO, he's blown it. Also, didn't Obama have something to do with insurance companies not being able to turn people away fro pre-existing conditions? Thats a good thing.
-
even if all of this is true, I'd still vote for him. If these women felt so violated, why didn't they say something a long time ago?
-
If I have heard correctly, more illegal immigrants are being deported than ever before, my dad is finally able to see a dr. at the VA, he wasn't able to before Obama, Osama is dead. I'm sure there are plenty more but I stopped paying much attention to poltics anymore because I have a hard time relating to people who are so one sided that they refuse to find any good or agreement in the opposing party, weather it be an R or D. It all makes my head hurt.
-
That is true, I find it hilarious that people want to soley blame Obama for the state of our enonomy. he was handed a mess. I personally do not want to see Obama re-elected but I will give him props for the good things he's done while in office. Because I have a fair mind and no agenda. I just think the whole "my guy is better than your guy" mentality is clearly getting us nowhere. Good/bad things happened under Bush and good/bad things have happened under Obama. All politicians are slime balls at the end of the day. I'm tired of it. ETA-I wish the media would stop covering these stor

I love Christmas!! My thanksgiving is usually spent at my inlaws, where we are all forced to sit, bored to tears for HOURS waiting to eat dry turkey and a minimal amount of sides. Not to mention I don't like turkey. The sooner I can get that overwith, the better. Bring on Christmas!!

Did your parents divorce while you were living at home?
jennilyn77 replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My parents celebrated their 40th anniversary this year. They are happy now but that wasn't always the case. My dad drank a lot and my mom held a lot of resentments toward him for many years. I used to wish they would divorce because of all the fighting. I think she would have left but she had nowhere to go really. My dad stopped drinking when I was 12, things started to improve after that. My husband and I have been married 11 years, and hopefully will be til death do us part. -
I agree.

In 11 years we've only had 1. we don't live in a neighborhood. Part of me wishes we would get trick or treaters but the other part realizes what a pain in the arse my dogs will be every time the door bell rings. Plus I save $ not having to buy large amounts of candy.

Back to normal here too!
