Windows wide open, cool breeze blowing in, 80*F and 40% humidity. Awesome. (I really do feel bad for you all....it's miserable through much of the country right now).

I had all four of mine out at once......... I was passed out for a day, but otherwise never experienced any difficulty. My Mom kept me packed in ice. That was 33 years ago.

Apparently there is a Hutterite Community up this way (north central MN) and I've heard a few things about them..... none of which has been very good. I haven't watched the show either...but might at some time.

I guess it is against the law to donate money to the Fire Department's "Fill the Boot" campaign, also.

In my small town up here in MN they are putting sidewalks back in. Some kind of initiative to help kids walking to and from school..... yes, they still do that here. I can't wait for the sidewalk to go in front of my house, past the schools, and on to the town center. <2 miles I really need to get my fat tookus out and walking and would rather do it safely.

I had all three at home...the last one just after turning 39. I told jokes, funny stories, naughty tales...I like everyone to feel comfortable around me, so that's what I tried to do. We had a blast! ...with some pain and cussing thrown in for good measure. You'll do fine!

We've lived up here for almost 4 years now, and I'll just say this........ It is a different world up here, very, very, different! Particularly in the very rural farming communities. ....and now for the Rest of the Story... MN Firefighters Decked out in dresses for a parade fight fire....

I won't get to spring cleaning until April or May.... 30*F with a 25mph wind today. I can't wait to open the windows again....just in time for the herds of mosquitoes. We don't have the pollen problem but the skeeters are vicious.

There's a hunting season for them up here. I haven't tasted one yet...but I might.

Not enough to live off of? Wow! You guys must live pretty high on the hog... I know someone....ex-USAF.... collecting $88,000 a year on disability. I think I could live quite well off of that.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my Mother almost a year ago....and while I grieve a little everyday, I am profoundly joyful at having such a wonderful woman as my Mom. This past year has changed me greatly, my gratitude for her love is immeasurable. It sounds like your Dad was an awesome man and an even more awesome father. His love will never leave you.

We've finally had some real cold temps (-40*F the other night ... with windchill) but they are going back up to the teens and twenties this weekend. WAaaaay too warm!!! Last year the Polar Swim fools had to cut through ice that was a couple of feet thick.....this year it will only be a foot thick. And there are still fools out driving on the ice....a pick up went through two days ago. And as far as snow cover....we only have an inch, if that! Apparently people's septic systems are failing because the freeze goes deeper without the protective snow cover and the system will fail b

I homeschool my three kids...all three did this to some extent or another. I didn't worry too much about it unless it got past 3rd or 4th grade....none of them did. They are all writing and reading beautifully. I would suggest waiting before freaking. Correct them as they go along, but don't make a big deal out of it.

That statement horrified me. I'm sorry that you had to see something like that....you, and your husband don't deserve that. I was a Navy wife for many years...a very hard job. Thank you for your service....and your husband's.
