  1. I dont know anything about their good ol' boy stuff, or their finances, but I had to use them once. They were so nice, and respectful. The lady (dont know her name) was SO nice to me on our ride to the hospital. Out of my entire experience, the ride to the ER was the best part. Getting any care after I arrived was like pulling teeth. (And I had insurance). I have nothing bad to say about my ONE experience with Clark. They did send me a bill, which I had to call and question because my insurance was liable for that. I guess it was sent to me because I didnt provide my info to them at the
  2. Like any of them. It seems harder and harder to find an honest politician, and fraud/theft is a bad trait for someone dealing with my money. I have a hard enough time dealing with it by myself, and certainly dont need any help!
  3. I'm not perfect, but I have never been arrested. Never had a speeding ticket, or any other moving violation. To me, fraud is one of the worst things to be involved in, when you want to run for any public office.
  4. I cannot imagine that!!! I do feel pretty fortunate that when I do go in to renew, I usually have a maximum of ONE person in front of me.
  5. Oh, I bet that was a mess!!!! I must say, I probably would have been late for that one. One good thing about it, is that I never forget. We had to get inspection stickers, and registration....sometimes I would be a month late on my inspection before I realized.
  6. Propane is flammable too. Is he a licensed mechanic, operating at his residence? I dont know about purchasing these items, but I would think you would need some sort of license.
  7. They are deceiving you!!! Who brings their own birthday cake to the party??? (sorry naturegirl ) Happy Birthday Mr. Dis!!! BTW: I love Georgia roads, there are no frost heaves. I have an old car, and my plain ol' Georgia tag is very cheap. No complaints here, other than its not a very funny joke to have it expire on my birthday. Never in my life did I think I would be hoping for a vehicle registration gift for my birthday!
  8. Maybe he dunks large parts into it to clean them. My boyfriend sometimes tortures me with those "garage/mechanic" shows, and thats what they do...only much fancier baths for the parts.
  9. Dry ice might freeze it off...sort of like regular ice on gum. You probably dont want to leave it setting for too long because it can shrink certain metals. Probably not enough to cause any damage, but just in case. The only gas it has is CO2, which can only harm you if you dont have any oxygen in the air.
  10. Some people complain no matter what. I remember people telling me horror stories both times I was pregnant. I wondered why too. Don't worry! Everything will be fine! Plus there's not a lot you can do about it now! Lol! Good luck!
  11. I do agree with you, and didnt really take it as you wanted to blame these things exclusivley. The influences are bad, but will always be there. I thank God, too!
  12. Well, it still could have been...we all know that this guy is innocent and it wasnt his dope! They must still be looking for suspects!! I wonder if they have issued BOLO for the owner of the crack!
  13. How long has it been since video games were invented? Since there were shows other than the Waltons on tv? Since Hollywood has been corrupt? For as long as I can remember. This reminds me of the parents wanting to blame certain music for their childrens actions. It takes more than music to make a psychopath. It takes more than video games to make a psychopath. How about we teach our children to deal with ouside influence instead of shielding it from them? Sooner or later they WILL be in the real world, and need to know how to handle it. This is where parents are wrong. They "co
  14. I think more people use ashtrays, than turn signals these days.
  15. 2 Red Barns: I agree with you to a point about the "added factors" but these are problems only when common sense and the difference between right and wrong are subtracted factors. Also, I have no problem with my childrens' bag being searched. They arent allowed to have privacy at home (except the bathroom), and they dont need it at school. If there is something you dont want others seeing, leave it home. I WILL sacrifice my childrens privacy for their safety.
  16. I dont know of anything in Paulding, but I strongly recommend the National Guard Youth Challenge at Fort Stewart, and also maybe Fort Gordon. My boyfriends son went, and it changed him for the better in so many ways. He was there for around 6 months, and graduated with his GED. They teach them responsibility, physical fitness, life lessons, school work, etc. They also help them with planning for their future, wether its college, job corp, etc. And they straightened out his butt in no time!
  17. I guess we better be careful where we sit...naked? What a dummy!
  18. I'm not a parent of a child at this particular school, but it definatley has me worried. I can't help but think that my children have 5-7 years left in the school system, and what are the chances that this will happen again, possibly even worse. And then on to college, and then work with the same risks. Heck, I worry every day at MY work that something could happen. PARENTS! Educate your children! Listen to them when they hurt. Teach them how to cope. Tell them that YOU love them!! Tell them that school life is only the beginning, and does NOT determine their social life forever! T
  19. Thank you! Everyone always wants my yeast rolls for Thanksgiving, but its my biggest stresser. I always worry they wont come out right. At least if they are frozen, there wont be so much work the day before.
  20. My crock pot is a "throw all"! I love crock pot cooking, its so easy. I didnt know you could freeze yeast roll dough..or at least I have never tried it. When I make yeast rolls, I let the dough rise, punch it down, let it rise again, punch it down, then make rolls and let those rise. Would I do it the same except not let the rolls rise for the last time??
  21. I had my bedroom window open all night! Only one window though, so I didnt have too much cross breeze. I love cold, fresh air when I'm sleeping...with tons of blankets of course! I like summer, but fall weather is always so soothing to me. Plus, I'm looking forward to the power bill!
  22. I'm a grammar nazi, but have re-read some of my posts and had to change some things. I just get to typing so fast. I think for ease of understanding, some punctuation is needed. I would rather have breaks in the sentences, than I would have proper spelling. The part that irritates me the most, is in everyday life...not online. My old boss, who made 60K a year (double the average income for the area), could not decipher between there, their, and they're. She would have me proofread everything she wrote. Now come on, any exec should at least know how to write a professional email.
  23. Shop around for everything, and know your options. Cell Phone: I have to have a cell phone for work that has data, email, etc. I was paying Sprint $115 a month for their "everything" plan. After looking at my usage, I decided that I could drop down a little and reduce it to about $80 a month. The only thing I have to watch is land-line phone calls. Most of my calls are from cells, or nights and weekends..so I was paying $35 more than I had to. Car Ins: Get quotes regularly! I cut my insurance almost in half my switching a year ago. There were 5 companies all quoteing about $120 a
  24. That is so good to hear! I havnt been in yet, but I plan for you to make my Christmas shopping much more pleasurable!
