Or we could just take away the comapany cars, and increase their salaries by $6000 per year. The truth of it is, they dont make sheeze for money. I wonder if it is cheaper to be able to supply vehicles and gas, rather than actual money. I see it as part of their salary, not a gouging of my wallet.

Agreed totally. Its bad enough to give the correct medicine, but wrong dose. Even worse, that it was an entirely different medication. If this had been given to the wrong person (someone allergic to it) it very well could have been fatal. There is a degree to personal responsibility, but WE the consumer, need to make sure that companies are being responsible as well. We can not just shrug our shoulders and allow a pharmacy to put people's lives at risk.

I have never owned a company car, but I did get a gas card allowance. This was part of my salary, just like health insurance, 401K contributions, etc. We, the taxpayers, are paying for governement employee benefits (as it should be), and having a company car is one of those benefits. I see it as being part of their salary. Now, if they were using the car and gas to travel to Las Vegas twice a year, I would be upset. But, I dont see a problem with using the car for everyday things, such as dropping their child at school.

This would be a good way to end it, but I did read a while back that they were already lined up for another season.

I have always been good at spelling, and it bothers me to read something that is filled with spelling errors. I think if we want to "keep up" as a country, our children need to know how to spell....they will be adults at some point. Spell check does not fix everything. If you misspelled something, but it was still a word, it wont fix it.

I'm considering donating my sons brand new one. He says he wont wear a "fat coat". Ugh!!! I warned him that it will be cold. BTW: I got really nice, thick, warm boys coats at Ross for $19.99 each, if anyone without used ones would like to pick one up for donation.

I think this way!! This has been a REALLY bad couple of months for us, and we are going to Florida to spend time with family for Christmas. The gift I am giving my boyfriend, is flying his son in to be with us. The best gift of all is memories, because sometimes thats all your left with. Material items get old, lost or broken....but memories are forever.

I was raised by a single mom, and was a single mom myself for a while. I remember our first Christmas being alone...we moved 3 days before Christmas. The boys were 2 and 4. Stuffing. My favorite is to sautee celery and onions in butter, then mix it with Bells stuffing, add a little more Bells seasoning..and stuff it.

Did she happen to send Bells stuffing? I can find Bells seasoning here, but not Bells stuffing. Thanksgiving just wont be the same! My mom usually mails it to me, but we didnt think about it in time this year.

Make sure your oven heats up to temp. Mine was a little off last year, and we ate later than planned. By a few hours!

Thank you. It is the largest devastation ever. I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy, and hearing more tragic stories really makes my heart ache for those families as well. We will also be praying for a good recovery for Ryan.

I will be praying for them, for sure. We lost my step son 3 weeks ago in a car wreck. It is the most difficult thing imaginable. Prayers for faith and strength for them.

The sad part is the most damaging drugs such as alcohol, Rx, and cocaine only stay in your system for a few days or less. Its very easy to be a coke addict, and work in a job that requires a test. I'm not advocating any of it, just stating a point of how these tests dont prove your not a drug addict.

I definatley dont endorse it...but I guess people need to stay out of the "in between" jobs. You will either be at the top and untouchable, or at the bottom. Kidding..sort of. ETA: I also dont think the drug testing part is very factual either. Some very LOW paying jobs drug test, while higher paying companies do not.
