Its really too bad that people have to give these clinics such a bad name. They do more than just give out pills. It is regulated, and you have to submit to random drug screening so they can be sure 1. you are taking them and not selling them and 2. you are not taking any other drugs. I had extrememly bad back pain, went to Noel Battle who never even touched my back, prescribed be 6 valum and sent me home saying it was a muscle. I told him I had problems for 5 years...but he isnt a very good listener. Anyway, I went to a pain management doctor, who sent me for an MRI BEFORE prescribing

Listen to all of us tell you how to break the law!! Okay, on a serious note, I thought I had heard before about a possible temporary permit. Then again, it could have been in a different state.

I am very sorry you are having a bad day! Some days just seem like they will never end. I remember when my son was about that age..one night he cried all night--unless I was holding him....standing up! I couldnt sit or lay down or he would wake up and cry. It was horrible! I really hope your evening goes better..hang in there!

Wondering if all those years in school was worth it.
MaineGal replied to ram0265's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It shows that you started and completed something on your own. Your pretty much forced to go to high school, but afterwards, it is your hard work and dedication that gets the degree. Employers want people who can do that hard work, for years, and succeed. I think it is more a way of showing what kind of person you are, not what you know. The best way to learn is hands-on. -
Uh, yes. Thats why there is a labor department. Who do you think operates that, Wally World??

How long have you worked there? The reason I'm asking is because they may have held the meetings after work hours or on weekends (with pay) in the past, and employees may have wanted it changed. Even though it is on your lunch break, it is still less intrusive of your time than it could be. They may have opted for paid lunch, rather than pay in order to have it not affect their weekends. Is it right, probably not. Dont get me wrong, I'm not defending them, it was just my first thought.

If you can spare a good thought for my daughter...
MaineGal replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I can spare all kinds of good thoughts!! I read an article a while back about how just reading sad/disruptive articles can take a toll on people. I cannot imagine having this weight on my shoulders each and every day. Kudos to your daughter, and please thank her for me. Even though it is tough right now, I pray it helps her in the future. -
I get what you are saying 100%....moderation. This tax is the same as tax on tobacco--to cover the increased costs of healthcare due (in part) to it. Many people abuse tanning, and look horrible. Some people have one glass of wine per day to improve their heart health, and others are raging alcoholics. The ones that can handle moderation, help to pick up the tabs of the ones who cant handle it. If I had to choose how I would be taxed: I would rather be taxed on items I use moderately...and if I dont use those items/services, I dont pay the tax. I think its better than increasing the

I would check their website. I had just heard something about if they were continuing all the tiers or not, and I'm pretty sure there were 4 tiers. Whatever you do, keep certifying each week.

I wish I'd known that a few years ago!! LMAO

I work in the area as well, and a co-worker said he drove by and they were covering someone up. He didnt know if they were doing that because the person was deceased, or because its cold. He didnt get a good look. Prayers for all involved. -

I'd like to add one more to your list: 10) People with dogs in their lap, or jumping all over the car. We almost got T-boned by one of these people, she would have hit the side that my newborn son was riding on. -
Alright, now THAT is some funny stuff!!!

I actually needed a fun topic earlier and thought about posting one...but then I realized that I couldnt even think of anything fun!! Ugh...thank goodness the weather has improved, I really need to get out of this rut. You see, it was much funner when naturegirl went swimming in the middle of the winter, and we ALL know what LPPT was doing!!

Yep, we can never be too cautious when it comes to our children. I'm thankful for PCOM for this exact reason. People actually care enough to take the time to alert others and keep everyones children as safe as possible.

LOL!! It may seem that way sometimes!!!

I miss being care-free!! Ahhh--the fun we used to have. My later teen years were the best. Being out all the time, visiting, cruising, and of course behaving ourselves . Pit parties (in sand pits, and clear cut landings), with bonfires and tents. I miss all my friends, as we are spread out from one corner of the country to the other. Also, going to concerts. We would go to every show that came close to us. The second round of my good ole days, is when my boys were babies. Sitting out in the shade, holding my precious little babies, listening to the birds. Now, I dont think I could
