My daughter was ready when she was 16. My son, not so much. But girls mature faster than boys. They had the skills to drive equally, just not the maturity level. I did make my son wait longer to get his but he did still get it when he was 16. Both of my kids drove quarter midget race cars growing up so that helped with their driving skills. Before you say it didn't, think about this. I put my 7 yr old son in a race car weighing 300 pounds on an 1/20th of a mile oval track with 10 others cars just like it going 55 to 60 mph. They LEARNED how to drive.

Typical union thugery. Bunch of lazy bastards. I've been in the ports. My cargo has been held hostage until after hours so I would have to pay double time IN CASH to longshoreman on the docks to unload the moffets my equipment was on. The same lazy bastards that stood around smokin n jokin all day, arguing with me that even though the documents in my hand specifically stated a 9 am off load, I was not on the list to be off loaded.

We replaced our entire downstairs unit in 2010. Top of the line Trane equipment, programmable thermostats. We zoned our bedroom because our bedroom was always colder or hotter than the rest of the downstairs. $10,000+/- with Ragsdale.

Sweet. We just had Italian Beef sammies last night. We are gonna try this French dip recipe. I LOVE a French Dip but have not really found a good recipe. This sounds simple, so maybe simple is the key. We will try it.

Preschooler Told to Change the Way He Signs His Name
Scott replied to NinaBritt's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Our oldest grandson is deaf. I am Papi and Blondie is Pmaw. One of our daughters friends asked her one time why Luke was throwing gang signs when he was around us. My name sign is to sign the letter P with both hands and throw em up and down in front of your chest several times. Blondies is the same P bumped against the chest. The letter P -
Root canals do suck at the price of them even with insurance. I've had only one but I never had a problem with it. Hope you get to feeling better.

I like the way you think, except for the coconut.

This thread didn't really start out to be an learn our language or else but here is my .02. I think any immigrant to this country should learn "our" language. English is taught in many counties all over the world. It is a universal language. In the 80's, I traveled all over Europe and I found that if I just attempted to speak the native language their English got a whole lot better. I think this is why so many Americans think the French are rude. I never found that at all. I found the French to be very gracious and their English quite good, once I tried to talk to them in French first

Actually I think the first people to settle those areas spoke one of the various dialects of the American Indian. The Spaniards came much later.

Jamie Dupree made the comment that a lot of the delegates showed up with their "nieces".

Sorry, wrong Isaac thread.

And anyone who doesn't think a presidents policies, actions and economy don't have a direct affect on gas prices is a fool.

Yes, I know it is false but it is still funny. When Apollo Mission Astronaut Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, he not only gave his famous "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" statement but followed it by several remarks, usual communication traffic between him, the other astronauts and Mission Control. Just before he re-entered the lander, however, he made this remark "Good luck Mr. Gorsky." Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet Cosmonaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or Americ

I'm pretty sure this is the same accident one of my friends is posting about on FB too. She is friends with them. She has slight concussion and bruised up. He is worse, concussion, broke leg and ankle. He is going into surgery now.

http://www.tmz.com/2012/08/25/neil-armstrong-dead/ Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, has died today. He was 82. Armstrong underwent heart surgery earlier this month, just a few days after his birthday. Armstrong commanded the Apollo 11 spacecraft, which landed on the moon on July 20, 1969. During his three-hour walk on the moon's surface, he radioed back the famous line, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." He hangs out around churches a lot it seems. He might want to walk into one.

Spent a couple of nights in the Blue Rodeo. I've probably seen you play at My Brothers Place before. Used to hang out there when I lived in Smyrna.

I'll come if you come. We have had our differences and our mutual share of insults thrown. I actually would enjoy meeting you. My very best friend in the world is a flaming Lib and we argue tooth and nail and call each other horrible names but I would lay my life on the line for him.

I broke my ankle on Aug. 5th had surgery to put it back together on Aug 10. No weight bearing for 4 more weeks. Laurie is right, if you're gonna throw me over your shoulder, I hope you've brought 4 friends. Wait. What? Laurie just called me fat.

If idiot Bloomberg sticks with his usual MO, I would be willing to bet he will make some stupid comment about LEO's not carrying guns. I've faced a human with my gun drawn before, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that I would have pulled the trigger if I needed to. I suck with a rifle but I am a damn good shot with a pistol.
