I have 3 DVRs that were working OT last night. Hubby would have killed me if we missed Hawaii 5-0. We are trying the new shows at least once. House is a show I have not watched.

When my 16 yr old nephew (yeah, I AM the older gen. in this one) was here... somehow we got on the subject of Ranch Dressing. I told him the 1st time I had it was at the mall in Swiss Colony as a dip, a specialty dip. He was stunned that it hadn't been out forever.

I wasn't old enough to drive at the time so I didn't include myself.... and I use my cruise control, Silly Girl!!

I lost interest a few years ago. Mama watched it from the beginning. She'd go home from school for lunch and listen on the radio. I began watching as a child. I am glad a few of the older folks (John Dixon, for one) came back to send it off in style. GL ended a bit horribly... but what else could they have done? Now, if Y&R goes, I will weep!!!

The roads out here would keep me from allowing my child to walk to school. People speed and the roads are just not safe. When I grew up, I walked to the bus stop which was down our road 6 houses to the left and up about 6 more houses. BUT the road was a bit safer even without sidewalks. The new rules about kids walking make me glad my DD is out of school.

I may check it out. Saying I wouldn't watch because I don't agree with it would be like my denying my love for Mafia shows. I am ever so fascinated with all that is Mafia but I do not condone it. I don't agree with either way of life- but it might be interesting to get it from their point of view.
