  1. Thankfully, my nephew who is battling Post Transplant Lymphoma has not had any ill effects from Chemo either.
  2. Best of luck to you! I know someone from Paulding who works in the Green Zone, maybe you'll run into each other. You have to figure that someone making $300,000 a year in the States would be gone most of the time too, tied to their job. Everyone makes a sacrifice one way or another. Money doesn't just fall out of the sky, contrary to what some believe. Edited to add: Make sure to sign up for your airlines Frequent Flier program. You'll get some great perks and make status real quick with the 14,000 mile round trip to Kuwait.
  3. Where are you going to work? What company? As you know, my husband works in the ME but NO WAY would he ever work security. He has been over there on and off for the last 10 years as a Marine and then as a civilian working for the Marines. Good luck to you but I would NEVER recommend anyone go over there as security. We have had friends get royally screwed and severely wounded. I hope the money is better than $200k. Best of luck to you!
  4. Just an FYI: NEVER get the LIVE flu vaccine (nasal) if you or people living in your home are immune suppresed!
  5. I am immune suppressed due to medications. I do not get the flu vaccine. I've never had the shot and I've never gotten the flu. But I make sure I am up to date on the Hep vaccine and a few others. My doc explained to me that it's a good idea to get the shot but absolutely no guarantee I won't get the flu. I'm just very careful to wash my hands and avoid nasty germ infested items and areas.
  6. I used them recently and was not pleased AT ALL with who was sent to my home.
  7. Start early and serve free hot chocolate. We did that one year and made a ton of $$$
  8. I am a rather small person, weighing in around 105. On my flight to LAX last year, I could not fit in my seat due to the size of the man next to me. I literally COULD NOT FIT! I had to find the flight attendant, explain the situation, then EXIT the plane to speak to someone at the gate regarding my seat. There were no seats left on the plane according to the attendant, not even in First Class. They ended up denying one person who was late entry onto the plane so I could have a seat. My original seat was in Economy Plus towards the front of the plane, which has more legroom and I was on a
  9. Yes, there is a 4 mile track that runs through ACofE property from Pitner Rd Dog park to the Allatoona Creek trailhead. Very important to know that it is open at 10am in October and closed November and December for hunting season.
  10. I just go to Dobbins, or the Navy Lake site to buy booze on Sunday
  11. The toys are distributed by organizations based on need. If a family needs toys, they can fill out a request form on the T4T website. If they aren't going to kids in Paulding, then people aren't requesting them. Personally, I don't care of the kid is in Paulding, Fulton or Texas...they all should get something under the tree. I thought T4T kicked off the day after Thanksgiving. That's how it was years ago when my husband was the coordinator in Southern CA. I'm sure there will be quite a few drop off locations as it gets closer to the holidays. I always end up dropping off at Publix.
  12. I just realized that Dr. Phil and his son are executive producers of the show. Hmmmmmm.
  13. LOL, there's at least three people who don't like it. The other chick has the personality of a paper bag. She's lame.
  14. I CANNOT stand Jilian Michaels. She is vile. I can't watch the show anymore because she's so obnoxious.
  15. Yuck. I wouldn't buy a house in Bartlett Square.
  16. Wood. A red door would look ridiculous on my brick home. We have a black door with black shutters on our other home. I think red doors look the best on a white farm house with black shutters.
  17. Hmmm, sounds like it would be rather difficult to screw on a lightbulb.
  18. Or she's older and desperately in need of some vajayjay rejuvenation.
  19. Yep, I noticed the spare parts as well.
  20. Every fall I buy "Cranberry Chutney" Yankee Candles. Each spring I buy "Clean Cotton". I'm stuck in my ways. I ABHOR those friggin' stinky cinnamon brooms that every grocery store puts at the front door. It practically takes me breath away. I wish they'd put them somewhere else so I don't have to have my olfactories assaulted everytime I need groceries.
  21. Here's some http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/coupons/ I also go to the manufacturer's sites (Organic valley, Horizon, Muir Glen, etc) They frequently have coupons on their sites as well. Recently they had a $20 of groceries for $10 deal on Livingsocial too.
  22. I can't coupon because most of the food items are processed, crappy food that I will not eat. It would be nice if the manufacturers put out more coupons for healthier items. I do get some coupons from Wholefoods but not many.
  23. I've never dealt with BB&T. We bought a short sale and the bank was BofA. In fact, they had two mortgages on the house with BofA. Everything I read about the process and specifically BofA was not encouraging. But the sale was approved in 45 days, and we closed 2 weeks later. So don't get discouraged, regardless of what you hear about the particular bank. You might get lucky and be one of the few who have no problems. Best of luck to you!
  24. I just bought a brand new down comforter and can't wait to try it out tonight. I've left my windows open in the bedroom so it'll be nice and snuggly when I go to bed. LOVE this weather! It's just me and the cats but I'm trying to find the more enjoyable aspects of sleeping alone (i.e. watching Real Housewives in bed while eating Tabasco Cheezits)
  25. That is one of the most ill fitting bikini tops I have ever seen. And was she wearing a bandaid on her bicep when she got the spray tan? Bad, bad spray job. Is she saying she didn't have a boob job?
