  1. Did you go to Medical school? Doctors err on the side of caution because they are scared of being sued for malpractice by people who went to the Google School of Medicine.
  2. Enriched wheat, high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated, GMO's etc are not good for you. I buy organic because I like to be able to pronounce what I'm eating. Organic goes way beyond produce.
  3. I buy organic for what's NOT in it, not some supposed added nutritional value.
  4. I have to agree to an extent, but in our situation that is entirely UNTRUE. My DH and I moved from MA due to military orders in 2003. We bought a house for a good price and loved it for many, many years. After DH retired and had a higher paying job, we decided to "upgrade". Yet, we ALWAYS continue to love ou old neighborhood and the people that live there. I wish more people were in our situation and could buy the downtrodden houses that just needed a little love. Even though we live outside the county, we want ONLY the best for our former neighbors.
  5. Not everyone wanting to rent out their house is bad. I learned from renting out in my previous neighborhood that if you keep up your property, you will get people who CARE for the home. We had an INCREDIBLE tenant who left the house better than the the majority of the homeowners on our block. When we re-rented our house, we had no problem. We had new flooring, new paint, and have lawn care so the tenants cannot let it go. I believe when you keep up a home, the people who live in it will keep it up as well. I want to keep our block it was the day we closed on it in 2003.
  6. I've seen some great houses go for $50k-60k in my old neighborhood. I'm waiting for a few more to go on the auction block and I'll be there. I know a slumlord who is letting their house go into disrepair. I want to buy one on my old culdesac (where I also own a rental) because the landlord has let the place go to hell. I want to make the neighborhood better for everyone and get the 'hood away from the slumlords circa 2005.
  7. What is their price range? And what is the name of this company?
  8. I don't know about you, but it would take me all of 30 seconds to stop my car, remove the sign, and be back on the road. Plus, I think it's the Marshall that takes down the signs, not the PCSO, although I could be wrong.
  9. Electronic signs would make more sense. I have a feeling a lot of the companies on the signs will go out of business so the kiosks will be littered with defunct companies.
  10. These are electronic? I haven't looked really close at them but I'd be very surprised if they are electronic. They seem way too small to read when driving by so I don't see how much business they can really bring in.
  11. I wonder if Adrienne Maloof will be on it again after her husband filed for divorce.
  12. It is fairly simple as far as legal documents go...pretty much fill in the blanks. It's NOT simple what can be done with it in the wrong hands. I've had a General POA (which covers everything) for 15 years.
  13. It's fine for a simple POA but I would not use them for much else. I have POA from them and they were very thorough. I've used the POA for buying a house, selling vehicle, bank accounts, IRA, etc and never once had a problem. But, that's as far as I'd go with Legalzoom. You might want to edit your title before the mods do...unless legal zoom.com is a paying member.
  14. Good. All "deductions" should go away, for all income groups.
  15. I use Healthy Home Pest Control. They charge me $75 every three months for inside/outside treatment 3500 sq foot house and they come back for free if I see anything in-between. It's a family owned, local business. They are very professional and polite. Let me know if you want their info and I'll PM you their number.
  16. This poem was one of the first baby gifts when I was adopted. Thirty plus years and 13 moves later, this framed poem still hangs on my wall.
  17. Wonder if it's the same stylist I had (also mentioned in this topic). I endured all that AND also had to hear her horrendously close-minded political views. Please don't bash gays, cram your religion down my throat, and use racial slurs when I'm basically held captive in your chair. I don't care how good my highlights were, I could NEVER go back.
  18. On a practical note...Please, get as much medical information about the child's parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. as possible. I was adopted at two months old and had spent the majority of my life having to say "I don't know" when asked my medical history by doctors. I have since reunited with my biological family and now have a great deal about my maternal side. It's very important to know medical history and most people take it for granted. Have you thought about how you are going to tell your child she is adopted? What are you going to tell her about her parents when she's old
  19. Morons. It's spelled, "Worcester". Get your head out of your butt and get a map. Is there no such thing as editing these days? I'm so sick of reading news "articles" full of typos and grammatical mistakes.
  20. You aren't the only one. I can't figure it out either It's completely blank underneath the explanation paragraph. No options. Wonder if it's browser related...I'm using Safari.
  21. Peanut butter and Marshmallow fluff sandwiches...otherwise known as "Fluffernutters".
  22. If anyone lives in Cobb, please remember there is a runoff election going on today as well!
