Central America. Close enough to visit, yet far enough away if we don't want to We've been planning on doing it for years and we are finally in a perfect place in life to do it. Neither of us want to move when we are too old to enjoy it.
-
Thanks! We already have a place but have to work on our residency requirements before making the BIG move. We want a new pace of life and the U.S. just isn't cutting it for us any longer. Onward and upward!

We will be putting our house up for sale after the 1st of the new year. Our realtor told us it's a seller's market right now because inventory is so low in my area. Hopefully that stays true. Thankfully we bought at the right time and have a good bit of equity in our home.

My nephew is VERY allergic to cats. They got him a "Siberian" and he has had ZERO reaction to him. I was skeptical about a "hypoallergenic" cat but I'm a believer after that. Best of luck to you. We had a Russian blue growing up and it was the best cat and so beautiful.

I want faster approval for our new citizenship...in Costa Rica

She's not convicted. I'll wait to see what happens "in a court of law". As a side note. I have always liked her and I hope it does not effect her "Wednesday's Child" segments.

My husband and I found the placard for where Tun Tavern used to stand in Philly. He wanted to have a drink at the closest bar on honor of the USMC. The closest bar, less than a block away was a Afghani Hookah bar! The irony wasn't lost on us.

We must have voted on the same day at the same place. It was around two hours for us as well. Had to endure the wait since we weren't going to be in country.
-
He should have applied for an absentee ballot. When my husband was overseas (Afghanistan and Iraq), he always voted.

We are in Central America so we'll be watching whatever channel is available. Alcohol will be consumed in large amounts

If it's a fridge, we use Weiman's stainless steel wipes and a microfiber cloth to finish the cleaning. But we only use that combo for the tough fingerprint and watermarks. Otherwise, I just gently wet a microfiber cloth and wipe until the slight spots are gone. But after trying a llllllllll the internet ideas, Weiman's works the best. You can buy them at WalMart, Target, etc.

I'm already working on it because you never know when your last day will be.

I bought the Shark Steam mop/vac and it was terrible. It didn't suck LOL. I returned it after using it once.

That's too bad. I've had to file claims with USAA and had nothing but an excellent experience. I'd NEVER go with anyone else! I suppose if there wasn't so much insurance fraud, insurance companies wouldn't have to be so vigilant about doctors and patients scamming them.

and probably "cellar", "hair elastics", and "tonic" for soda. I felt like I had to learn English all over again when I moved to Massachusetts.

I tried to early vote in Cobb since I had to pay my property taxes today anyhow. The line was TWO AND A HALF HOURS LONG! I'll come back, thanks.

Pick up at the new International terminal at Hartsfield?
justgettingby replied to justgettingby's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thank you, I think I'll give him those directions. And yes, the new terminal is odd to say the least. We are flying out International soon so I just hired a driver. I'm not doing that long ass trip on Off site parking again unless it's for a short trip. When it first opened, we flew in from Philly (the flight continued to Sao Paulo). Well, the flight attendant and gate attendant told us we had to go to the "F" terminal for baggage claim. Made ZERO sense to us since we were domestic but after asking around, they all sent us to the international terminal. Yeah, that was all BS. -
Is there an easy way to access the new International Terminal at Hartsfield from Camp Creek Pkwy? Dh has to pick up a friend tomorrow and we've never done a pick up at the new terminal (flown into it but took off site parking...what a pain). We ALWAYS take Camp Creek so I'm wondering if he has to take a different route entirely or can he somehow navigate there from Camp Creek?

My Mom always said "talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence". I thought she was just trying to make me feel better. As I got older, I realized it probably *is* a sign of at least a smidgen of intelligence. A dummy doesn't even know how to form sentences whether with people or by themselves.

Navy commissions destroyer named after NY SEAL

He was killed in the battle detailed in the book, "Lone Survivor" by Marcus Luttrell. It's an incredible book about what happened during the battle and the fight for Marcus Luttrell to survive. -
Yuck. I find it disgusting.

Question regarding speeding ticket/teenagers
justgettingby replied to debbielou's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LOL, I understand that. I was trying to show/explain to you that he's still an adult in the court's eyes, but yet being treated as a "teen" because his license dictates that. You asked WHY he had to take a class. It's because the laws are slightly different for him until he's 21. Giving up now.... -
Question regarding speeding ticket/teenagers
justgettingby replied to debbielou's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It doesn't say "Under 21" on it? I know it's a Class C, but it still says Under 21 and in Georgia, certain violations for people UNDER 21 carry mandatory suspensions, that don't for people OVER 21. Here ya go.... http://www.dds.ga.gov/drivers/dldata.aspx?con=1744060376&ty=dl -
Question regarding speeding ticket/teenagers
justgettingby replied to debbielou's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It's an "Under 21" license and the point system is different (mandatory suspensions) for those under 21. I forgot, you were in Dallas, I don't know how they handle Juvenile cases. In Cobb, they go to a different court. -
Question regarding speeding ticket/teenagers
justgettingby replied to debbielou's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Because they have a different license than people over 21. If he weren't an adult, you would have gone to Juvenile court.
