  1. I was there from about 4 till about 6pm today. I didn't try any of the food but found several treasures. Blackberry honey for me, pear preserves for Mom, several artistic prints for the house, and some floral arragements for grandparents and greatgrandparents headstones. It was nice but a little muggy at that time. Everyone said it was beautiful and great weather right up until then. Yes lots of jewelry. I was hoping to see some concrete statues. I want a couple of kitties in concrete. I came up on the Paulding.com booth. Pubby was there but was busy talking to 4 people, so I didn't get t
  2. If you also have a fever, then you should probably call your doctor for some Tamiflu. It will shorten the length of the illness and the symptoms if it is the flu. I stocked up on the real Sudafed, Tylenol cold & flu syrup, and Delsym 12 hour cough syrup a few weeks ago. I hope you feel better real soon. Hugs.
  3. OMG! LMAO! Almost as bad as me when I put on the 70s roller disco music while house cleaning.
  4. Oh wow! That is wonderful, congratulations!! I think we have 19 more years.
  5. You are welcome. Sweet dreams.
  6. Nonmaterial: God, husband and my cats (my babies) Material: cellphone (link to traveling husband), A/C (Tesla is a hero for that one), my medications (for helping me to lead a "somewhat normal" life), glasses/contacts (worn since the age of 12!) and while I could live without my car, just taking a nice drive in it will lift my mood and make me happy.
  7. Yes Publix sells Western Union money orders. I like those better because they refund faster if lost or stolen. Just keep your receipt from it.
  8. Yesss! I totally agree. I got out of my car at Garden Ridge the other day and about stepped into one laying in the parking lot! It's not just the gross aspect but what about hygiene? I use to work with someone who got hepatitis from changing a baby's diaper that had it. She wasn't wearing gloves and it is thought the virus entered through a cut or something because of course she washed her hands, etc. What if you stepped on one of those diapers and received a virus off of one of your shoes? Doing something like this is trashy in more ways than one.
  9. Yep, that's me. Good morning to all and good night to myself very soon. LOL
  10. I really hope you feel better soon. Take care and try to rest.
  11. I can SOOO relate to your story!! I am 5'1", so is my Mom and my maternal grandmother was 5' even. I have the very same problem with grocery store shelves. I can frequently be seen standing on a lower shelf just to nudge something on the top shelf to fall into my hands (not recommended if the item is heavy!). The VERY FIRST thing I bought when moving into my first apartment alone 17 years ago was a 2' folding wooden step ladder that I still have and use! Now my own kitchen cabinets and closet shelves are too tall so I have a lighter aluminum folding step that I use just to put up dishes etc. Y
  12. It looks a lot like the "wolf rats" you find here in good ole Georgia.
  13. I am 5'1" and for me it is 8-10 lbs. When I was younger and a smaller sized person it was less, more like 5-6 lbs. Good luck!
  14. Hubby & I took my Mom and Stepfather out to eat Mexican for her belated birthday. We all had a nice time. Then I went shopping for some home decor. and cross stitch supplies. I think I may try to pick it up again.
  15. 93 is a good long life. I know it still hurts no matter what the age and I am sorry for your loss. Please take care.
  16. Oh congratulations! He is beautiful.
  17. We are scifi buffs. No sports lovers in this house. Although hubby did play hockey for several years in school.
  18. Lasagna flavor with LOTS of mozzarella cheese. I might try this with some ricotta stirred in next time.
  19. If poison ivy touches your clothing or shoes then the oil will be transferred to them and can in turn infect or even reinfect you with it. So all clothing, shoes, etc. needs to be washed ASAP. This can include camping gear such as blankets and sleeping bags if you caught the poison ivy while camping. Good luck hun! I hope you feel better soon.
  20. Yeah the black widow thing I have had happen to me also. Maybe we need to put those stick on closet lights in our mailboxes and look first? LMAO In all seriousness, it sounds like someone put this snake into the OP's mailbox. Sounds like an assault with a semi-deadly weapon to me. I am glad everyone is ok.
  21. I REALLY want to go and find a few things for the house but my hip has been killing me lately. I may just have to take an extra dose of meds and get my rear up there. You don't have to park in grass on the side of the road do you? My car can't do that, so I would have to take hubby's truck instead, but I would like to know ahead of time.
  22. I would think she can sue the renter for damages.
  23. I don't have Crohn's but have other similiar problems. During those times I can eat NO fruit or veggies or anything high fiber what so ever. If I am hungry but afraid my tummy will get upset again then I will have chicken noodle soup with crackers or a protein shake. I prefer the special K protein shakes for the taste and the vitamins. I have been told to try something bland with rice or noodles during tummy upsets by my chiropractors office. Some people have to completely avoid wheat gluten. Yes I do know the feelings. You have NOTHING left in your gut or tummy and you are STARVING but are af
