What is your insurance agent and your company doing to help? When my son was hit head on five years ago, Nationwide and their agent would not help us when at fault was not definitely established. As a result, we dropped Nationwide. On your side? BS! I found eye witnesses myself and worked with the GSP who were able to establish that the other driver was 100% at fault. The other driver was eventually convicted of manslaughter. It took a lot of time and work on my part but it was well worth every hour I spent.

Carry the bill of sale and/or the title with you to prove that you own the car. Drive it...no problem.

Yup - not I that enjoyed having to ask for it. It was simple; there was some sort of table that matched the amount of damage, and the current value of the car. Out popped a number. I tried to negotiate up but the adjuster said it was non-negotiable and also that most people knew nothing about it and never asked for it.

I had to ask for it; it is not an automatic. Your agent can explain it and can also explain whether you would qualify.

Frames can be straightened. Take the advice of your insurance agent. Check regarding diminished value and see if it applies to your Jeep.
