Eat less and eat healthy. No sweets, no fast food, lots of fruit and veggies. When you go to the restaurant, eat half of what they serve and save the rest for lunch the next day. I've lost 25 pounds in the past 3 years and am down from 185 to 160. Take it slowly and good luck.

I had to pay $914.60 per month from the time my son was 8 until he turned 18. This put a big bite on my disposable income. My son now has a sizable investment account and is attending Southern Poly. I think that $800 per month should have easily covered everything including college. I'd let this go and hope that my daughter and her Dad could work on their relationship. Just my opinion having been on the other side of the fence.

Does she have anything in writing regarding her request for flood insurance? If so, call State Farm HQ and explain the situation. At a minimum, get Oxendine's office involved.

Agree. I've taken vacation for days like yesterday before. Since I now work from home, I was able to accomplish a fairly normal day yesterday.

I've lived in areas where I've had all the snow I want and more. I've had enough. If I want to see snow, I can fly there and return that same day. Yeck!

My Road Runner is up in Canton getting some minor repairs done. I called the owner of the shop this morning and said all's well. The Road Runner is dry and inside! Hallelujah!

Two leaks here too. One will have to wait until the rain lets up and I can get on my big ladder. I found what I think was causing one close to a corner in the great room and patched two small holes in two shingles. With rain this heavy, it will find every weak spot. I'll know if I got it in the morning if it ever dries out!

Too busy treading water over here off Corner Road. Almost 2 feet of rain in just over 24 hours.

I'm just off Corner Road. We had over a foot yesterday, more than 6" overnight (my guage maxes out at 6" and overflows - it overflowed overnight). I've got another 5+ inches so far this morning. So, that's about 23" or more so far. STOP already. I'm sorry I ever complained about the drought.

My wife drove east on Macland from Corner Rd. to the E-W Connector and down the connector to Smryna at 6 am. NO FLOODING and NO PROBLEMS.

Thumb drive works for me. It means that I control my information and my privacy.

COWA and the Geek are correct. Once you get it all cleaned up, uninstall McAffee and enjoy improved performance. I'd not bother to reinstall McAffee. You can use AVG free and that should do the job for you. I also like Advanced System Care free. Let us know how you make out.

I agree re the calendar. If the boys have a conflict, it is their responsibility to work it out.

I'd love to do that. Maybe they could come to my garage. Set it up for some Saturday morning. BTW, my son is an Eagle scout. Proud Dad here.
