  1. A couple of us had Arby's and the rest are eating Ramen Noodles as we speak.
  2. I went by the WM in Hiram earlier and it wasn't that bad. Yeah they were low on stuff and there were a lot of people there but the did still have Milk, bread, eggs, etc.... The meat area looked pretty cleared out and I could see alot of shelf space but still. They were out of a certain kind of poptarts my kids like but I had already stocked up on those. I'll try to post a picture of the poptart section I took. They did have some flavors but just not the ones we eat. I hope everyone was able to get everything they needed. My only worry is fire wood. Of course we have lived
  3. Mamma Mia, Shutter Island and Inception come to mind. I'm sure there are some more new releases as well.
  4. I haven't been to your store yet but I do groupon. I didn't realize they kept a portion of those sold. That is a great idea about getting them for teachers. If I wasn't already strapped from Christmas and didn't have two kids parties to pay for in the next week and a half I would be all over that. Good Luck to you. I hope it brings in a lot of business for you.
  5. Our guy has been missing for a few weeks now. I remember in December one week he said they would be gone a few weeks but that was more than a few weeks ago.
  6. My brother lives out in LA and he said that when he first moved out there every one would be talking on their phones while driving. Now you don't see it at all so I am sure it is just to make sure you weren't making calls while driving.
  7. We us Dr. Singleton. He has an office on 41 in Acworth and across from the Avenue. It looks like he is opening another in Hiram. He is very convenient for us. When my daughter first needed braces we visited several Dr.s including Dr. Justice who was also great but a bit more expensive. We had also heard several people say they didn't actually see him that much after the braces were in. Anyway, my daughter really liked the sports theme of his offices and his personality seemed to go well with her. She has since had her braces off and is in retainers. Dr. Singleton gives tokens for thing
  8. I don't know about Dental but when my husband worked for a few years with a company that didn't provide insurance we went to esurance (sp?) and got a quote from BCBS. We ended up using them for about 18 months. For our family of 5 it was $312, then up to $341 a month. We each could go to s visits and pay a co-pay of $30 and after that we had to meet a deductible. It wasn't great but it was okay. Now we have insurance through his work and it stinks. No copay whatsoever for the salaried employees. We have to meet a $5,000 deductible first. We do get discounts though. That insurance is t
  9. That was an awesome book. It has been a few years since I read it. I think I will read it again after I finish The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest, Beautiful Darkness, The Room and Norma Jean Learns to Drive. (Yeah I got a few books for Christmas ). So probably in February sometime!
  10. While I agree that there are too many overweight children (and adults) around I find it ridiculous to say that chubby babies at 9 months are obese. A lot of babies go through that stage when they have started eating but haven't quite gotten the hang of walking and moving around yet.
  11. My 7th grader just asked if he could go there (Sparkles) for the All Night New Years Eve skate. I am wavering. It would be hard as heck to check up on him and then to have to get up early to pick him up will not be fun. What ages will be there tonight? Does anyone else have kids going? Just curious. My 8th grader is having friends over which is much more what I was hoping for.
  12. The lying would have hurt more than anything. There have been times in our marriage where it would have bothered me and times when it would not have but the lying would have hurt or pissed me off or both.
  13. I agree with the Dave Ramsey advise. I would at least look into it. I have taken his class and have the CD's. I am actually getting ready to listen to them again. He gives some great advise on how to deal with CC companies. He also has information on settling with them and getting them to stop calling you. Maybe there is someone on here who has the CD's, or book and isn't currently using them who would lend them to you. If you can manage it I would take the class. I don't know where it is being offered now but many churches were offering it last year about this time. Good Luck to y
  14. And except for the two missing I-tunes gift cards I can't seem to locate..... I am finally done wrapping gifts. Time to go jingle some bells, run to bed and hopefully get a couple hours of sleep. Merry Christmas Y'all!!
  15. Always still out shopping on Christmas Eve. Mainly for stocking stuffers. I have a feeling if they decided to postpone Christmas a few days I would spend those shopping too. I am always thinking of more things I want to get the kids.
  16. Woke up to a Christmas Eve Mayberry. What an AWESOME way to start the day. Thanks Boss Hogg, you rock! Merry Christmas Eve Y'all
  17. The countdown is over and the tracker has begun.
  18. Tried to find these last night without any luck. Does anyone have an address?
  19. I first got on P.com when I heard there was a thread bashing the 4th grade teachers at my daughters school. I was all ready to defend my daughters teacher only to discover once I opened the thread that he was the only one not being bashed. Unfortunately he was let go at the end of that year and teaches at another school but we still see him from time to time.
  20. That is awesome. Totally brought a smile to my face.
  21. Bummer, I opened this thread thinking I would be finding out when they were going to be showing it only to find out it has already been shown. Oh well, I am just so glad we have an up and running theater in town and I can't wait to go sometime in the coming year.
  22. Thank you for the great suggestions. My Mom (age 62) LOVES Lands End so we are always getting their catalogs this time of year. Looks like I will be heading to Penney's (gotta try to spend in Paulding) tomorrow when we get back from visiting the Stein Mart loving Great Uncle in NC. Thanks everyone you guys are great!
  23. LOL My husband's Great Uncle got the kids gifts from their one year and I so know what you mean. When he called the other day he asked my husband if he should get them gift cards to there this year. His next idea was Belk or JC Penney's. I think my husband suggested VISA would be best. We will find out today what he ended up getting them. Thanks, I haven't been to either one of those stores much in the past few years but they do seem to have something for everyone.
  24. Okay before any one questions who I am calling old, I am referring to my 85 year old Grandma. She is in desperate need of something new and I would like to get her one of those comfy velour (sp?) sweat suits type things for Christmas. She has plenty of clothes but they are probably 20 plus years old and most of them are stained. She has money so it is not that she can't afford it but she lives in a very small town in Michigan and doesn't get to the city very often. When I say small town I mean tiny. No traffic lights, no grocery stores, no restaurants (once in a while one will open u
