  1. Update? I am praying and hoping the parents aren't injured, hospitalized or worse and that maybe their car just broke down.
  2. My husband has had fever, chills one minute hot the next, sore throat, very sleepy, etc... all this past week. Hopefully it will start to pass soon.
  3. I like them much better. We typically get 4-6 of the kids 99 cent meals on Thursdays and I am always complaining to the kids that they don't eat the fries and I hate to just throw them out. I can't blame them though they did taste very blah. However, last night was the first Thursday that the fries were all eaten.
  4. Just because someone doesn't have kids doesn't mean that they would use the car any less. They are probably going out to eat, on dates, shopping, golfing, maybe they have time to join a softball team, get a season pass to the Braves, etc....
  5. OMGosh~~~I would recognize that guy anywhere. That is Pastor Brent, the kids pastor at West Ridge. That guy is hysterical. I am so glad he is a part of my sons life. I don't have sound on this computer but I will be checking this out later on the laptop.
  6. Wow...seriously. Maybe I am just grumpy today or something but to complain about seeing some kids being dropped off in an SO car seems really ridiculous. Do you know for a fact they were dropping off their own kids or are you just assuming? When I first read the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about the police helping get "troubled" kids or kids in a situation where they could use the help to school. I thought maybe they were picking up kids who were at a crossroads where depending on the adults in their lives they might be headed in one direction with their life
  7. We hardly ever go to the Hiram theater anymore. I favor NCG over in Acworth. We almost always go to matinees and with their card every 10 tickets gets you a free one. I usually save the free tickets for when we do want to go to a midnight release or at a non matinee price. Plus on their concessions with any combo you can buy extra popcorn cups or drinking cups for $1.
  8. Thank you so much! That is so sweet of you. I will check with the Walgreens around here and if I don't see one I'll let you know.
  9. Thanks! I'll check them out. I didn't think to look at Walgreens and I was just there last night.
  10. Have you checked Wal-mart? They had one on display and were out. I heard the sales guy telling someone about them and it sounded like they were really inexpensive. He said that he thought they should be getting more in. This was on Sunday. They were definitely purple and not lavender. The Dell Mini (starting at $299) also comes in purple. I think you pay extra for the color unless you find one in the outlet. If you go through ebates.com you can get a little rebate back. Not much, I think Dell just does 2-4% back through that website but hey it's better than 0%. Good Luck!
  11. Dang, that's a whole lot of arrests going on.
  12. I am also looking for a Kinect for the X-box. Got one! Thanks!
  13. Thanks for all the reply's. I guess I need to go price out the cost, see what it is I like the look of and then decide. I'll be honest I can't always tell the difference between some of the hardwood floors I've seen vs. laminate and I see several houses each week as part of my job. Some floors are more obvious than others but some are really quite similar appearance wise.
  14. Panda Pillow Pet. Haven't looked too hard yet. Just hard enough to know they don't have them at Wal-mart on Dallas Hwy or Target in Hiram. I did see them on Amazon but it's more of a fun/extra gift so I don't want to spend more than retail.
  15. Was that the Groupon of the day? If so it is not the one that was e-mailed to us this morning. That would be so much fun. Oh well. My daughter and I are getting to see Amy Grant and Vince Gill at the Fox for their Christmas show. I would love to take the whole family to The Nutcracker one of these years.
  16. We are going to replace the carpet in our living room/family room and I wondered what y'all thought was better. My husband has been wanting to put in either laminate (which we have in our kitchen) or hardwood. From what I've read hardwood would add value but laminate is easier to care for. We have 3 kids and although we are currently pet free I think in a couple of years we will probably get another dog. Right now I am leaning toward laminate. It seems like there are some really nice looking laminates out there and I am all for anything that is easy to care for. Also, from the
  17. I wanted to go as well but just now woke up. I was out shopping from last night until around noon today. I'm still tired but will be checking on here for updates.
  18. I've already started my shopping. Kohls has started their deals online so my order which would have been for $470 + tax new was only $155 (free shipping and an extra 20% off plus 4% back through ebates.com AND I'll be getting $30 in Kohls cash). Can't really beat that. I still plan to go out but I haven't decided on the time yet. The priciest thing I want not available online is at Wal-mart. I tend to get there too early and spend hours sitting or trying to nap or read. We'll see. I am going to try to do as much as I can online today though. Another little tip is that righ
  19. Haha.... I have never sent out typed letters but I LOVE getting them. I have an Uncle who is a Dr. and one year he typed his up for his family of 6 and all he talked about was their various illnesses and medical mishaps. It was awesome. These day he tells all about their trips abroad and how awesome the kids are excelling in college and HS.
  20. I've done Wal-mart many times and always went around midnight the night before and been the only person until a few hours before the sales begin. Now I didn't go last year but in the past the lines didn't really get started until @3:30 am and then they get long quick. This year may be different since they are letting the non door buster deals start at midnight. Of course there is a lot of competition with Toys R Us opening at 10pm Thursday and Kohls at I think 3:00 am and then there is the mall at midnight. I wish there was three of me so I could spread out.
