  1. I have prayed for your health; you made me smile so many days, with your count down to your g.son's birth!! I thought that was one lucky little fellow to have you! God bless you.
  2. YES, yes, yes. I agree with each word!!! Every woman is different; I cried, hated, raged, ate during the night, etc. Prozac and synthetic hormones made my world and health straighten out. After a few yrs., I dropped Prozac, but continue the hormones, because when I stop, I become very unhappy and unpleasant to even myself. It sounds like a mixture of: hormones off kilter, stressed out mother, attention from a man who thinks she's perfect. She needs medical help and they both need counseling asap. No More Talking about it.
  3. Every one is not equal, and trying to make them so just harms everyone. The same access doesn't mean the same results God bless you for stating the TRUTH so clearly. Teaching has turned into exactly what you described and we should all cry for what is going on.
  4. After my severe infection on my back, we now use only white bedding, towels, & washcloths, underclothes..which are ALWAYS washed on hot with bleach. Also, the white Dial bar soap won't coat your shower/tub with that yellow gunk that the gold one does. We think I contracted mine from a motel at Tybee, where they were asking people to reuse their towels. Perhaps, if they were cutting back on washing, they were cutting back on hot water, detergent, & bleach as well! Just a guess, tho, DR said I'd make myself crazy if I tried to figure out how I got it! I have friends who always take th
  5. I had a bad place with MRSA, & dermatologist said to keep it covered at all times. I took antibiotic etc, but he said there's nothing topical that would help. It finally cleared up with a lot of drainage going on. I've had small ones come up on arms & legs, and I cover them with bandaids and they go away. All of them have left purple scars. Bad news: there's a lot of confusing info on internet, so listen to a GOOD dr. who deals with this. 2nd dermatologist I saw said to use meds in nose 5 days a month, even tho I had tested NEGATIVE as a carrier (in the nose). When I saw origin
  6. sometimes I forget if I've already hit the button once!!
  7. I loved buying boxes of Indian River fruit, when groups sold that years ago. It came in near Thanksgiving and was wonderful.
  8. sorry to add to this "conversation", but very low IQs are contributors to these sad situations, and are not considered mental illness..sooooo that is a factor difficult to name
  9. we love Green Tomatoes in Powder Springs for Th or Fri nights for buffet, including wonderful, whole catfish
  10. don't trust what the realtor says, they're often wrong, using old info; use the county website & school locator with the house address TO BE SURE
  11. A very sad reason to post, but so glad to see you two on pcom; you are wonderful folks and I've missed you.
  12. I think the term of the moment is "transparency".
  13. I just heard Elise Glink (Clark Howard's stand in) discuss this exact situation with someone who bought 3 yrs. ago in Marietta and can't sell & husband being sent to Austria...E.G. said NEVER buy a house, if you're going to be there 2-3 yrs, no matter what the market is.
  14. when people say, "I COULD care less", actually meaning they COULDN'T care less...then SAY SO. Also, people talking on cell phones in stores; I don't want to hear your conversation. oh yes, referring to A driver's license as THEM....it's ONE thing, not many.
  15. We had owls behind our house and those were frightening sounds, until we saw one in daylight and figured it out. They didn't sound like the "hoot" or anything we thought they would. Very scary sounds. Could be an owl, after all!
  16. A big, "yay, for you!!" Thanks for this post, I was getting more & more disgusted while reading the ignorant, mean comments.
  17. Then there's nothing dangerous about the water? No dissolved particles or whatever that causes contamination?
  18. No children at home, only visiting g.kids; we'll have the water tested as soon as we get to that on our list. For now, bottled water. ONe child had an intestinal issue, after drinking well water from a home with cows on the property (dr. thought that was the problem, but don't know for sure). But, since we have no nearby animals, I assume all will be ok.
  19. is it their private home? is it a rentable facility? I thought it was part of the church property or something commercial.
  20. So step mom raised another man's child, but not her own 2 sons???
  21. We thought breakfast buffet was overpriced for quality and selection. The biscuits were square, flat, and seemed to have been fried. When we asked for butter for waffles, we got 2 small pats. Don't know about vegetables. The waiter was very disinterested and had dirty fingernails!! G.daughter said, "I know what these guys are...goth!!"
  22. WOW!! I am overwhelmed with information and kindness. Thank you ALL so much! We had 3 guys from a company recommened by gwilli8866 (who also was the co. that installed the pump) and it hadn't been serviced since installed 7 yrs. ago. So, new filter and whatever else magic they did and we have what I consider normal pressure. BUT, I'm going to have husband read all your comments and suggestions, so he'll be more informed, since anything mechanical is his territory. Again, a heartfelt thanks!
  23. Oh my!! It's only 8:30 and I've already learned so much!! Thanks to each of you. gwilli, I will definitely be in touch with you regarding who to call to check it out. I don't know if it's shallow or bored, there's a wellhouse & pump. The previous owners had stacks of bottled water, but evaded our ?s about it. We're just trying to get things ready to move in and haven't taken time to focus on this situation yet. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
