saw him yesterday, talking to someone on his porch; we always blow the horn, if he isn't already waving

Well, here we go; what we've been dreading: http://schools.paulding.k12.ga.us/ischooldistrict/media/files/5/Public%20Budget%20Presentation%20Web%200427.pdf

I know about "muh"!! My dad used to call his mother that....said it originated with a slurred pronounciation of "mother"...like "muhher"!

Try this, but it states Pickett's Mill has no reservable places; think it was closed, due to cutbacks; I think there's only one paid ranger now and the others volunteer. http://www.gastateparks.org/net/go/parks.aspx?LocationID=36&s=124118.0.0.5

not just public schools...churches too...nothing new

this is nothing new...happened 40 yrs. ago, when I was in school. I learned not to leave things in unlocked areas.

seems a sad, tasteless way to raise money for anything

I miss that beautiful area as a cut through; glad they're doing a good job for the residents and those of us who enjoy it.

Well, one great thing, is that it's not nearly so awful as it was before most regular obnoxious posters went elsewhere. A few pop up now and then, but mostly have left for FB and other sites. When I started reading p.com, grammar nazis attacked, folks demanded answers for the reason you posted as you did, and on and on. I NEVER dared to post anything and often went weeks without reading. So, I think it's pretty tame lately!! Nice is good.

I once walked in on a burglulary in progress, when I was about 20, so when I had kids, that was a concern...that they would walk in on someone already in the house, so no, I never let mine go home alone.

And, a tip for everyone, NEVER pay cash for anything you don't walk out with...difficult to dispute in the future.

not soon enough!! I wonder how many accidents have occurred right there? There's always glass on sides of roads. They've actually put in crossing lights (where you push a button to stop traffic so you can cross on foot!!!) I've never seen anyone foolish enough to walk in that area; and where would someone be walking to anyway????????? now joggers...there are some extremely foolish men who jog on skinny little side of 92, who must be insane.

No matter the forgiveness, we still must suffer consequences of our actions and behavior; those are not promised to be taken away. Oh, and I am a practicing Christian; I am forgiven, but suffer consequences from my past behavior and choices and expect to continue to do so, but I WOULD NOT RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE and put my community up for public ridicule. I've already heard the astonished comments from friends outside our district and county (and state) and just have to laugh with them and plead prior ignorance to the facts.

he should have known this would all come out; what in the world did he think would happen??? That we'd vote for someone who **** his wife's MOTHER???? I think this says A LOT about his lack of maturity and worldliness; an "affair" with his mother in law...just eeeccchhhhhh, I don't care how many years ago, it's SICK and I'm embarassed for Paulding County.
