Good to know. I had no idea the Dugout delivered to New Hope. That seems far, but we are going to take them up on it!
-
Yeah, I just noticed that. I guess when I saw that the place was called "Tavern", I didn't really think to look further to make sure there were no kids nights. Just seems weird.
-
I missed that completely, but you're right, the tv's at the tables received 4 channels, one of them was cartoons. A tavern that has children as their target market? Who knew?

The manager sent me a note this morning stating that, after I left, he asked them to leave. I tip my hat to him for doing the right thing. Shame on those parents for putting him in that very awkward, uncomfortable position. They'll be my business going forward just for this, as many places (Buffalo Wild Wings) makes no effort to control the chaos.

I understand the "technicality", but the name of the place is "Tavern". To me it seems, by their choice of names, that they were deliberately not targeting toddlers and soccer moms who couldn't get a sitter. I guess it's just me. I know that, if I go to Chili's or Jim and Nick's, that there will be kids and I accept that before I go there. But when I choose to go to a place whose theme is a bar, I don't expect to have 4 year olds screaming and running between the tables. Is that just me?

I'm not familiar with CP Kings. Is this by the old courthouse? I would love to find a place where I can enjoy a beer and watch a game without tripping over strollers.

OK, so we tried this place out last night. Initial opinions are positive. Food was good, the atmosphere was nice. I thought the prices were a little high for the location, but when you factor in the added expense of driving to Acworth or Kennesaw, I guess it's a wash. I had a crab cake sandwich. It was good. My wife enjoyed the cajun pasta. We had firecracker rolls for an appetizer, and they were great. My chief complaint is something that is outside the control of the tavern. There were SOOOOO many kids in there, even for 9:30 on a school night. There was a full on ga

Looks like it's in the Seven Hills Shopping Center. It popped up on a coupon app I have on my phone and wanted to give them a look. Thanks! I love this board, but the pcom Nazis will always smack hands for someone starting a post that they read 6 months ago. It usually runs me off for a few months at a time. It always makes me laugh that someone will take the time to post a reply to complain about the time they wasted re-reading a topic. I don't think they get the irony.

I saw that too, plus the 54% they made on their health inspection. I'm hoping this is just opening blues and they have all this worked out now. I really want a place here close to go watch a game and drink a beer. Driving all the way to Acworth or Hiram gets old.

Let's just get this out of the way. I'm sure a few folks who spend 8 hours a day committing this board to memory are going to jump on me as, somewhere buried, this topic has probably already come up. I concede this point and am ok with the inconvenience this is causing you. For everyone else. Has anyone been to Cedarcrest Tavern? I am going to try them out tonight and am hopeful that it's a good local spot to get a bite and have a beer. I really miss Denny Burger.

It is reopening in a few weeks at Woodland Hills Golf Club: http://www.plantationgolfclub.net/ Their facebook page is up and running: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Woodland-Hills-Golf-Club-at-Carter-Grove/211889255575598 You can follow exactly when they will open. I can't wait. I love Creekside, but it would be nice to have an affordable public course close by.

Thanks. I've never really learned how to "search" on p.com. Let the Good Times Roll to you too, and Geaux Tigers!

I'll be there! I'm an LSU alum and was lucky enough to have a friend who had a couple tickets to the game that he wanted to go to some true fans. I'm going with a Georgia fan friend of mine, should be tons of fun and a better game than folks are expecting.

I lost his number and have some neighbors asking for a place to get some firewood delivered.

I don't have a problem with it not following the novels step by step, I just want them to pick up the pace. I have no idea what prison thing you are referring. That would be a cool plot.

I love this show, but this season has been SOOOO slow. I did enjoy the "finale". I just don't think we needed 6 episodes to understand that Hershel wants them to leave, they want to stay. We get it. The baby angle will be interesting. They need Shane's killer instinct, but not his baggage (that wasn't his fault). Can't wait until February.

I got some great advice from a marriage counselor a few years ago. It goes: "Dirty laundry belongs in the hamper at home, not out on the line with the clean laundry for everyone to see."

PM, do you not think that is intentional on the parts of certain factions of our government, that nearly half of the folks the filed taxes last year either owed nothing, or received a "refund" that was far and above what they paid in? I agree with your premise here, I just have a different set of folks on my "most wanted" list. I honestly believe that it is the intention of certain political parties to get as many people as possible dependent on them for everything from their health, income, food, housing, etc, as those folks will be a guaranteed vote for the rest of their lives. They then

What is the difference between flashing lights to warn of an upcoming speed trap and a radar, or calling someone on the phone that you know is heading down that road to warn them? It's not like you tipped off the mob to reschedule their "hit".

I guess I don't understand what "organized religion" this gentleman is a part of? What church banner is her carrying? For all we know, he was ordained online and is a freelancer. We're just assuming that he is representing a church, denomination or faith group.

I'm so glad you guys brought up this article. This got me to thinking. I read an article the other day about a doctor who did some pretty bad things. Now, because of that story, I am never going to see a doctor again. I also read about a crooked insurance agent. I'm dropping State Farm this morning and I'm going to be self insured. Finally, I read an article last year about a crooked funeral home director. I'm telling my family today that they need to learn how to be morticians, because I don't want to deal with all the crooked funeral homes. You know if there are a handful of

PM, here are a couple of things about P.com that drive me nuts. This board tends to lean towards the negative, attack first, apologize later side. 2 things in particular that really "grinds my gears". 1. Complaining that someone has posted too many topics, rather than simply choosing to not open them. In the time that someone opened a topic and complained that someone posted too many topics, they could have read 5 others posts. 2. This is the one that irritates me the most, actually made me take a 6 month hiatus from p.com. Jumping on folks for starting a topic that has been

PM, good post. I think we discussed yesterday how the art of good debate is becoming a lost art. As far as criticism goes, I find that most folks love to give it, but aren't necessarily open to receiving it. Here are some good pointers on debating: 1. Stick to the topic. In other words, if we are debating your chart about wealth distribution, let's stick to that rather than somehow rolling immigration into the debate. 2. Keep it topical, not personal: Counter-points should read something like this: "PM, I see and understand your point of view, but completely disagree.

Need airline advice from some seasoned travelers

I'd take a minute to visit southwest.com. They don't post their fares on any of the aggregator sites. Sometimes, it's worth the extra drive to Birmingham if the savings are good. If you do the math, it's really only an extra hour to drive, less if you calculate in how much time you save with a small airport vs. navigating through Hartsfield.
