We do this on my Daddy's Birthday Lady Raider. My youngest loves sending his Grandad balloons for his birthday party. We release them graveside, then we celebrate his birthday ourselves. I don't think we ever stop thinking about our parents or other loved ones we've lost. For me, my Dad is the only one I've lost close to me (thank you Jesus) and there isn't hardly a minute that goes by that I don't think about my Daddy... I just bathed my dog (yes at midnight!) and was thinking about my Daddy when I did that. He comes to me at the strangest times, but always brings a smile to my face when

My father has been gone 3 years.. it was 3 years on April 10th. I'll never forget that date. It was just 5 days after my youngest child's birthday. We don't "celebrate" that day or make a big deal about it. It does help though to be with family. I try to make sure that I do something with my step-mother on that day. More for her benefit than my own. I don't want her to be alone and dwell on it like I know she will. I call my siblings and my grown son, just for a chat and to "check on them". I usually ask if they are okay, be both know what that means but don't really talk about Daddy.

Denise, you are such an amazing person!!! You continue to inspire me and other through all of this. Through all of your sorrow and pain, God has touched so many through YOU! You just can't help but see Him in your words. I'm praying for Phillip and for you, and hope you don't mind, I've also added you to the prayer list at our church. As someone else stated, I don't have much to give, but I'll gladly do whatever I'm able to help.

They do like to see themselves on the books and stuff. We put stickers on our pages and tried to pick a page w/ "their" sticker for them to sign. I can't wait to see pictures from the bippy boppity boutique!!!! That will be so much fun... beware, there is soooo much girl stuff ALL over the parks!!!! Y'all are going to have a blast. And take that stroller!!!! you'll want to kick yourself (or you'll be paying $25/day to rent one) if you don't.

Stroller... you might think she's big enough to not need one, but that is a LOT of walking!!! and take bottled water.. freeze it, and it will stay cold for most of the day... that stuff is EXPENSIVE in there. This last trip, I even took PB&J uncrustables... my son's favorite. Took them frozen and they were ready by time he was. I bought a box of them for what I would have paid for one in Disney. He ate them almost every day for lunch. Definitely agree on the ponchos.... carry them every day, whether or not you think you need them. As soon as you don't, it will rain... and it will be

I've had to break my canned coke habit too because of budget restraints, but I think I have a $2 cash register reward... so that wold be 4 for $8.91... woooo hooooo, might get me some diet coke in a can. (2 liter bottles just aren't the same!)
