  1. My husband and I married young. I had just turned 18 in November and he turned 17 in March, we were married in September and had a baby in September. We have been married 16 years and together 17 years and we have 3 children in all and I wouldn't ask for it to be any different. There have been many hard times where we could have given up, but we stuck it out and wanted to make our marriage work and be an example for our kids. You have to be willing to be in it for the long haul, not just decide to give up and walk away. Don't get me wrong, I am not recommending for people to get married that young seeing as how most 17 and 18 year olds now are very immature and dependent on everyone else doing and providing for them. It was meant for my husband and I to be together.
  2. This is my step-dad and I loved him dearly! He was a wonderful and funny man. To meet Rickey was to love him. He could make me laugh regardless of the mood I was in. He loved my momma, his children, and grandchildren deeply and they loved him just as deeply. He told me every time I talked with him how proud he was of me and my family. You knew how special you were to him and he never hesitated to tell you how much he loved you. He was taken way to early and we are still in shock, but we know he is watching over us and would want us to celebrate the years that we had with him. I ask that you please keep my family in your prayers as we prepare to say good-bye to this loving man. RIP Rickey I love you!
  3. Someone gave me a 5 port gigabit Ethernet switch and I don't really know what the purpose of it is. I have DSL and have a wireless router. Does the Ethernet switch take the place of my wifi router? Or is it to use along with my wifi router? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I really don't know. Thanks for any info!
  4. Mrs. Creech Demby taught at Hiram Elementary for many many years. You would know her by Mrs. Creech. She was a 3rd grade teacher and was one of the greatest inspirations in my education life. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Becky Creech Demby passed away this morning. This past year she had been undergoing treatment for cancer, and was doing very well. She was in the hospital with an unrelated issue with her colon. This was completely unexpected. The funeral will be Saturday at McEachern Methodist with visitation at 10:00 and the funeral at 11:00.

Live off of 61 across from PCHS and my internet has been going in and out all day. It will be fine one minute and then out the next. Who knows with AT&T? Can't stand that company!
  6. The movie is signs and I will try the other one for character.
  7. One of the workers from Family Dollar just told me that it was going to be O'Reilys Auto Part Store.
  8. My son has started playing a game on his tablet and we can not figure out what these 2 pictures could be. The first one is a movie and I have tried the title Alien and that is not it. The second one is a character and it shows all the letters, but the only letters you need for this one is CHOALVE. Can't not figure them out. Thanks for any help!
  9. I didn't know if someone might have been listening to the scanner tonight. I'm trying to find out what happened on Kristie Circle tonight about 915-920. Thanks for any information.

    Tablet help

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have to go find the receipt for them b/c I got them when they were on sale for $79. They are now back up to the $149 that they are original. I was so hoping this would be a good tablet b/c I can't afford $200 a piece for both of my little ones.

    Tablet help

My kids both received a Visual Land Prestige 7 Android Tablet. The amazon app store worked yesterday, now it will only stay a black screen. Any suggestions? I keep calling the company, but can't get an answer from their tech department( hoping that is not a bad sign). I don't know what else to do. The instruction manual sucks and doesn't give you any troubleshooting tips. We also tried to download a game from getjet(I think) and it is still downloading and I can't get it to stop trying to download it. I have even shut it down and looked at running apps and it does not show, so I have no clue. It is no longer connected to WiFi, so I thought it would stop trying but NOPE! Please help!
  13. I called AT&T about my bill b/c I was charged for long distance when I don't have long distance service. They informed me that I was charged because I don't have a long distance provider. Then she informed me that they will no longer be offering DSL in these area but for another few months and everyone will have to go to UVerse if they want to keep internet service with AT&T. and right now they will waive the fee for the modem and for the activation fee, which is $136. I don't know what I should do. Should I switch to UVerse or find another internet carrier? Please help!!!!!!
  14. Thank you all for the prayers. Taterbug58, if you are talking about the Children's Center that is where I went as well and my mom worked there too. He was a great person and could make anyone laugh regardless of the mood you were in.
  15. A very dear childhood friend of mine passed away last night at the age of 33. He was married and a Shriner, but he was so much more than just that. He was a good man that many of us grew up laughing with and sharing memories with and he is missed and loved by many. I just ask that you say a prayer for his family and friends during this very hard time. Thank you very much!
