Yep, reading this thread has been very interesting. My toilets don't make noice, but my sinks do... every time we flush! And we're not on a spectic. I've been afraid of calling a plummer... afraid of what they'll find. Is the venting thing only for septic systems? Does anyone have a good trustworthy, honest plummer to recomend?

I just have to say.... how cool would it be to take a look at all those people and GIVE AWAY all that stuff....yes, it would be awesome to be on the receiving end, but I can't even imaging what it would be like to buy anyone a car and just go hand it to them.... wow!!!

10 years ago if you'd have asked, I would have answered that there is no way that I have ANYTHING except real!!!! But, in my old age, I love my big beautiful prelit tree that we spung for about 7 years ago. I do miss the smell, but I make sure I get some great christmas tree smelling candles or something to make up for it. Got tired of paying so much for a real tree and also can't leave it up as long, at least I never could... a good 2 weeks and that tree was nekkid!

You got it! I raised one as a single mom and I know what you mean... I've been doubly blessed, so I'm doing it again, but not single this time around. It is still difficult, but a different kind of difficult. Stay strong! It's obvious that you are doing the right thing by turning to prayer to get you through. God is Good!

What time should we be there???? I made reservations for the Marietta Conference center this morning... afraid if I didn't make them somewhere, I wouldn't get any... but still keeping my eye out for other options.

Okay, due to last minute changes, we are considering eating out this year for Thanksgiving... anyone got any suggestions on a place to go that will have a really great Thanksgiving Buffet and I might actually still be able to get reservations???? I know it's a long shot, but we really need some place to go. We used to love Redtop, but since they've closed the resturant up there I don't have a clue where to go. TIA Blessed

We went yesterday... before the storms set in! $15 is a great deal for unlimited rides, unless you don't get to ride anything. If you get there early, before 7, you should be fine. Last weekend things got UGLY!! They had major gang problems... hope things are better this weekend.

Sweetwater Creek Park is what you are thinking of... for next time. Its one of our favorite places to go walk, hike, take pictures, fish, picnic... you name it. Last time we were there, my son had an especially great time.... in certain areas, closer to the water, there were tiny baby FROGS everywhere. i love my neighbors... I have to say that... and some of the posts also remind me of the benefits of living in a community that is protected by covenants. There is one strange thing that buggs me though. When one of my neighbors have company, they ALWAYS park on the street in front of my house, instead of theirs. I've never figured this out... it's further to their door that way, there is no driveway infront of thier house that they are trying to avoid. Just strange. It used to kinda freak me out, wondering who was parked out in front of my house, until I figued out that they just had comp
