  1. I'm voting NO. I'm guessing I can count on Feelip to vote no as well.
  2. Would not be a bit surprised. This ethanol thing is a travesty. A complete and utter travesty.
  3. Bless your heart...what a sweet post. I'm thrilled they found the problem and it's dealt with. Please know y'all will continue to be in my prayers.
  4. Goodness - a day when I agree with both Pubby and the Postman!
  5. Oh, goodness! I'm so sorry! Thanks for telling us (whoever you are), and do keep us posted. We'll keep her in our prayers.
  6. For many it becomes an addiction. The rest, I agree.
  7. Heard that as well. Lord willing, if this really is his motive, he won't hurt them. The whole thing is just sick, and I'm glad his mother and wife (or ex, depending on which story you read) are in the pokey. Morons. Story I read said the wife (or ex) thought he was having an affair with the woman he murdered. The elder of the two girls is 12; that was a mighty long affair IF the child is his. People be whack, man.
  8. I know...I was just referring to his self-confidence and don't-mess-with-me attitude. I believe that girl who was snatched from the mountain trail and murdered had some belt or other in judo. I would NEVER assume that something like that would protect a child. Which is why I held onto the neck of his shirt the entire time we were there, in spite of his griping.
  9. Gotta go with you on this one (duh...twins r us). My 5yo nephew can walk behind me when we're out somewhere and I will twist myself into a pretzel making sure I can still see him at all times. I held onto my now-15yo nephew's shirt the entire time we were at the Georgia Aquarium because it was very crowded and I didn't want us to be separated. And he had a first-degree black belt in karate at the time (now he's a third-degree black belt).
  10. Oh, honey - I'm just so terribly sorry. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
  11. My mother (retired microbiologist) said exactly the same thing.
  12. I also do my best to avoid drama/confrontation. I pick my battles these days. And I don't think I would have voted for the thing in NC because I'm sick and tired of the government being involved in Every. Single. Thing. Also, I'm an evangelical Christian, and I don't care who marries whom as long as they're past the age of consent. I personally think that heterosexuals with their cavalier attitude towards marriage and divorce and affairs have done far more damage to the institution of marriage than gays ever could.
  13. Agreed. And people need to stop h8tin' on this woman. She obviously thought she was being followed.
