  1. Yes, but I daresay you work for a firm that is headed by a licensed engineer(s) under whose license you operate. If you published things about yourself and said you're an engineer and weren't under the aegis of other engineers, you would be in violation of state code. I know a bit about this because I used to work for an architect. A friend of mine got in a great deal of trouble (civil) with the Florida Architecture Board, because in a portfolio, he referred to a proposal he had helped a guy do in Florida. The proposal wasn't formal, the project never went anywhere due to funding, the w
  2. I agree...I hate looking for specials. (My SIL is a genius at it...me, not so much.) Anyhoo, I believe they are still committed to the strategy, but didn't like the way it was implemented. I thought it was rolled out stupidly. Whoever their ad agency is should be fired for starters.
  3. He sounds so precious! I love that he loves his dogs. I went through this with my now-5yo nephew. Some of the stuff I got him he was not interested in till like now (and I got it a couple of years ago). But a lot of stuff I got used on ebay and he's played with it forever, and it was cheap. If you're not sure, that might be something to check out. I also always look at the reviews on amazon...if there's like 75 negatives, I read them and see what they're saying.
  4. I'm with you there, sister!!! I love the beach area in the off-season. I HATE going in the middle of summer!!! But I'm pretty much anti-social anyway, I've decided. Did you take all 50 of them?
  5. Me, too!!! I love laid-back vacations, as in camping or something, but Tybee wasn't that. It was...different.
  6. I've seen those. Talk about tackpot taste.
  7. Ditto all. Bless your heart (and his because it's so hard to be a 15yo boy. Somebody should invent a cryogenics thing where you could put them into deep freeze when they turn 13, allow them to age normally, and then thaw them out when they get to be about 20, with all the hormone- and angst-driven issues all resolved. Please do keep us updated. Praying for his safe return.
  8. Hey - I'm feelin' kinda smart all of a sudden.
  9. It's my dang Type A personality reading everything at warp speed.
  10. Yes, but not necessarily a critical part of the job of being a representative for Paulding County. I agree wholeheartedly. There IS a clear difference between the two; all I was saying there is that it seems people keep talking in circles against each other when they're basically saying the same thing. I agree it is a park n ride system, and I would be massively opposed to a mass transit system here in Paulding (sorry, ivylove).
  11. I'd have a problem if my admin asst did it in a piece of formal correspondence and didn't correct it. But I wouldn't think ti would have any bearing on whether she could do the job of representing Paulding County. My mother is one of the smartest people I have ever known (retired microbiologist) and she can't spell worth crap.
  12. I'm serious. Geez. RE: mass transit/public transportation - It seems to me to be largely a question of semantics. But no doubt Paulding gets the best of both worlds with the GRTA (which I did not agree with them forming and still don't like the idea of) buses coming to the county line and people being able to ride in. And yet we don't have it anywhere internally in the county. Me likey. Or would if I needed it. RE: Melissa M's former employer - I don't find that to be a salient point to her qualifications for the job. She may have had a personality conflict with said employ
  13. I thought you meant that you have a few people on ignore, like MarkDavd. I don't have anybody on ignore. It's not worth my time. If I don't care for a person or his/her comments, I just pass right on by.
  14. Can't respond without a pic of the dress.
  15. Yeppers. I always say that if we're not sleeping on the floor of a crowded ICU waiting room wondering if the person we love most in this world is going to live (which my family has done before), we are doing fine indeed.
  16. Isn't there such a thing as discovery? I perceive this is not a good move on her part. (Thankfully.) That would be one skeeeeeery house!
  17. I'm glad I'm not the onliest ignurnt person about this.
  18. Paging The Chief...Chief, please pick up the white phone.
  19. SERIOUSLY!!! Even if I could afford that, that's just crazy talk. I'd much rather watch it in the comfort of my own home, and get better detail. When I want to see games in person, I go across the road to Allatoona High (those are some fun games).
  20. Negative. E. Paulding Animal Hospital is on 120 near the intersection of 92. After watching the video, this is at the AutoZone at Crossroads, which is where 92 runs into Cedarcrest and 381. Edited to add that there is (or used to be...I haven't looked lately) an animal hospital which name I don't know there next to Las Maguey's and the Chevron, and then there is the St. Francis Animal Hospital there behind Martino's.
  21. I'll second that. Never been in the heat of summer, but a great place.
