Gotta make it quick (still busy for now) but... Why is it that if someone pleads guilty to Felony Insurance Fraud that it is even possible to run for office? I know the guilty plea allowed her to avoid prison but why is she even legally allowed to run for office? What would happen if she took the high road and stepped down?

Well, it's about time change time and those 2 times a year are good reminders of when to do it... Maybe you could do a neighborhood flyer in everyone's mailbox.

Remember the woman who faked the attack from a nebulous black Obama supporter? Carved on her own face and screwed it up looking at the mirror while she did it to herself? The other reported acid attack appears to be legitimate.

Transit Worker in NJ Fired for Burning Pages from Quran

I agree. While I find it stupid to needlessly provoke any extremist (fake Muslim or fake Christian) that should be protected speech. -
Might want to check your geography. Hawaii is Obama's home state, unless you count his Ivy League years or recent residency in Illinois.... or you are one of those wild and wacky birther dingabats...

You are right. The comment you referred to was not called for and seemed personal. However, Paulette is being disrepectful of voters by dodging and being disingenuous about why she is dodging debating Will. As a reminder, Will is not condoning and is actually discouraging supporters from making personal attacks against Paulette. From real coverstions I've had with just (many registered Republicans) folks though, it seems the ones who know her record most are the ones who most don't want her elected.

Since unemployment and recession are considered separate entities, it is factually correct to say that the economists are correct in saying that the recession ended some time in 2009. The economy started tanking in 2006 but was not considered in recession until a bit after mid 2007. And now the disheartening part: The average recession ends about 2 years after it starts. (it did by the technical definition of recession) AND, The average time it takes after a recession begins for employment to return to normal: 5 years The economy has several straight quarters of growth and se

More violence and murder has been brought upon the earth in the name of religion, Christianity included, than for any other reason. Usually it is done by liars just using religion as a justification for their horrendous actions.

Thank you for understanding my point. Now just apply the logic to the fake Muslims who blaspheme that religion.

I wish immaturity were the worst of our worries. It seems more important that we run significant risk of electing someone who is unqualified only because she is running as a Republican in a predominantly Republican district. It should upset any concerned citizen that fear of being exposed is her motivation instead of wanting voters to be able to make an informed decision. Why is she afraid to be compared to the other candidate? Isn't it significant that so many Republicans are indicating their support of a Democrat? Especially the ones who know her well and have actually taken time to kno

I heard the old timers say "if u skeered, just say u skeered... I guess this is her way of saying she is scared. What say you, Paulette?

Hitler, Mussolini and the Inquisitors do not make all Christians maniacs. In fact, they say nothing about Christianity much as the abomination terrorist murderers scumbags who perpetrated 9/11 say nothing about Islam. Their zealots get it wrong. Ours do too. Someone calling themselves Christian or Muslim or saying they represent either doesn't make it true. Those murderers rows (both flavors) are not Christian or Muslim.

Please guys,/gals, I did not mean that anyone here is a dingbat. I just mean that being a member of a party does not mean anything other than that. Some of the most fiscally responsible and conservative politicians have been democrat. Some of the least responsible folks called conservative republicans have been anything but. It just seems to often be a false assumption. I really enjoy spirited discussion but harbor no ill will towards anyone here. I really enjoy the give and take. I occasionally learn something as well. And that is a good thing. And ditto on the fellow republicans bein

So it's back to the "we're not as bad as they are when we are stupid" or "our standard should be lowered to match theirs" argument. No and no. Ours is the better way and I do not want to sink to their theocratic uininformed (zealots') ways. These New Yorkers are americans who want to build a church/mosque. They are being lied about and smeared in a way similar to saying you must be a monster because some zealous monsters have done horrendous evils and claimed to be christian. Do you select a few rotten apples and then say all apples are rotten? I hear so many lies about the american

Come on now. Democrat does not always mean wild eyed liberal any more than Republican always means hard right wing dingbat. Both are true sometimes of course.

Yep. I've also seen things in the bible that are scary if applied literally. Killed a defiant teenager lately? Gouged out your eyes for lusting after someone? Cut off your hand for masturbating? Fake christians have done things at least as horrid as 9/11 which was done by fake muslims. I meant we don't have anything to fear from decent moderate religious people which could mean a real christian, a real muslim (both of the moderate variety.) It's those fundie zealous extremists that claim they are christian or muslim we need to watch.

I haven't found anyone who knows them both that thinks that. Ther are some who have cursory knowledge of him (he's a D!) but little else. Come to think of it, probably some of her supporters know only that she's an R. In a perfect world, the people who vote lockstep would lose their voting rights before reformed felons would.

I would hope that they would care more about the people of District 19 more than the party. Or that they might be decent and informed enough to want the candidate to win who would be a better representative. There are several good decent people who are Republicans and who usually support only republicans who are supporting Will because they know Paulette and they know Will. I'm not sure how open they can be because of how rabid and vengeful the response could become but there are several and again it is because they kow her and they know him. In short, they want what is best for District

burning of Qurans on Sept. 11 by a Florida church

Of course. Extremist bile reasonating with some other extremist bile moving towards a bad result. I guess we are supposed to be stupid like the idiots burning that flag and doing something equally stupid cause "he hit me first when you weren't looking mommy." What is frustrating is the ridiculous things people are charging this Imam with and then being upset with him over something that never happened. He is way more reasoned and non-violent than those who intentionally misread and misinterpret what he said. He did not threaten us. He pointed out, rightly and truthfully, that there are e -

No one said there aren't a bunch of extremists both overseas and within our shores. And even being a minority, they can still sometimes stir up otherwise decent people into believing things far removed from reality. That is only one of many reasons extremism and zealotry basically promote violence and then more resonating violence in answer. -
Actually, there is a memorial planned in the community center for the americans and others who lost their lives that day (many of those americans being muslim btw) as well as separate worship and prayer areas for christians and jews. He is as american as you are and all reasonable evidence indicates he wants peace for his country and fellow countrymen. No one saw Islam burning an american flag. You saw some extremist burning a flag. Muslims are also american soldiers and serve honorably. Extremists are the problem (both fake christian and fake muslim.) We don't have anything to fear

We still have the world's largest economy and spend about the same amount for our military as all the other countries on earth combined. Obviously the answer is yes. If we want to renew our vigor, we'd better get this energy thing solved. That one issue is key to our future economic health (or lack thereof) and our military security.
